Natalia slammed the door after her as she rushed into her room, Jasmine dropped the book she was reading and went after her.

"Hey, I haven't seen you all day, where were you?" She asked, watching Natalia frantically search the room for something. For the past two nights, she had barely seen Natalia, and wondered what she had gotten herself up to. With her brother gone, she was more lonelier than ever.

"We have to get going, we're leaving this place." She announced, when she found her phone.

"What? I thought you wanted your grandfather's approval for the wedding?" Jasmine questioned her.

Natalia held Jasmine's shoulders and looked her in the eye, "We can get married fine on our own, we don't need him, or anyone here for that matter."

Jasmine didn't like her tone, rather she was scared. Right now Natalia looked the same way her father did, before he died, and it left her feeling unsettled.
