章 19: A Draw?

Alex charged forward, taking long strides as he covered a vast distance with each step. In merely a few seconds, he was upon Lucius again, throwing another punch at Lucius.

Thud!

Lucius jumped back cautiously. While he wasn't sure if Alex was using the third form of the Demon-kin secret technique, he dared not take chances.

"Ooh? You are smarter than you look." Alex commended him earnestly. Not many could understand the true dangers of his martial technique after taking one hit.

The fact Lucius had grown suspicious was a testament to his perception.

"But that won't save you!" Alex snorted disdainfully as he sprang forward.

Swish!

He struck forward, but Lucius saw through the attack and sidestepped to dodge, while simultaneously throwing a left hook.

His fist tore through the air freely, missing its target, and a stabbing pain struck his torso, sending him staggering back.

'Shit!' Lucius groaned as he felt a scorching, yet numbing feeling spreading across the spot he was hit.

But Alex was far from done!

Thud!

He sprang into the air, striking at Lucius's head, with an open palm.

Bam!

With no time to dodge, Lucius was forced to cross his hands over his head and endure a direct blow.

The strike caused an overwhelming numbing feeling to fill his hand, causing them to fall carelessly while his body skidded backward.

He watched Alex chase after him, launching barrages of attacks, forcing Lucius to retreat with each hit.

"Is that kid some sort of tank or something?" General Steel was shocked.

While Lucius was taking a beating of a lifetime, it was extremely shocking to see him still standing after taking numerous hits from Alex.

Alex, who was winning the fight, was greatly infuriated. Never has he seen or come across anyone capable of taking these many hits from him.

Even other S rated potential students from the other big four would have fallen by now!

"Demon-Kin Third Form: KILL!" Alex roared as he threw both fists forward.

Bang!

The attack struck Lucius's chest, but his cloth tore from his back and his body was sent hurling back like a cannonball.

Lucius struck the ground and rolled a couple of times, but ultimately sprang back to his feet, planting his hands and feet on the ground to stop his retreat.

"No way…" Alex muttered in shock.

The shock he felt was shared by everyone as well. Unless Lucius's organ was made of steel, there is no way he should be conscious.

Everyone heard a low, inhuman growl from Lucius, sending shivers down their spines. His eyes were blazing purple, with purple cracks spread across his lids and onto his face.

Everyone believed this was related to his ability and held their breaths, waiting for him to use, but what they didn't know was that with each hit, Lucius had been growing furious at his weakness, slowly tapping into his Xenovian bloodline.

[Stop now Lucius! You cannot use this in the presence of people!] The voice warned.

'Don't worry. No one will notice a thing' Lucius assured as the earth frown below started spreading up his palms, covering up his body which was just moments away from darkening.

"So you finally used it." Alex muttered with a frown while he assumed a fighting stance.

People's cameras were fixated on Lucius as the earth formed a protective layer over his skin, hiding the darkening of his skin due to his Xenovian blood.

Boom!

The ground beneath his feet shattered as Lucius shot forward like a missile, his speed so shocking even Alex was caught off guard.

"Shit!" Alex crossed his hands when he realized it was a bit too late to dodge.

Boom!

Crack!

Alex's hands twisted in unnatural ways while his body was sent hurling back like a rag doll.

He hit the ground and rolled a couple of times, his gaze blurry but still enough to see Lucius's figure descending from above.

Alex gritted his teeth and raised his broken hands over his to protect his face.

Boom!

Before Lucius could hit he was struck by something which sent him flying back by a few meters.

Bam!

He planned his feet on the ground and skidded a bit before stopping. His fierce gaze looked in the direction of the attack, and he saw General Steel standing over Alex.

"The spar is over, it's a draw!" General Steel declared, causing an uproar not only by students but by Americans watching their stream all over the country.

Lucius clearly won, but was robbed. In fact, if General Steel didn't step in, they were certain Alex would have died.

"Show me your ability. You finally get to see it, and you get your ass beat?"

"Dude!!! I heard he is the latest S rated potential student found outside New York."

"This kid is the real deal!"

"Hahaha! A new superpower not controlled by the big four steps into the light!"

"The coolest debut ever!"

"What sort of ability is that? It's really cool!"

Comments like these were common on the streams of students who recorded. These videos spread like wildfire, instantly hitting millions of views in just an hour after release.

While Alex was sent to the infirmary due to his broken hands, Lucius returned to his room even after he was asked to go to the infirmary.

Miss Joanne was worried about the damages inflicted to his internal organs, but Lucius rejected, telling her he had quick regeneration, stunning people even more.

How can someone possess super strength and regeneration without it being considered an ability?

After returning to his dormitory, Luke laid on his bed while gazing at his status.

He just fought a member of the big four and while he won against Alex, Lucius didn't feel proud.

Alex was practically the weakest of the Briggs family, even if he is considered a young prodigy, yet he needed the power of his Xenovian bloodline to win.

The Demon-kin martial arts has proven to be a formidable martial technique. Lucius was certain the higher stages of martial technique would be more sinister than what he experienced.

This made Lucius wonder what powers the remaining families of the big four.

Lucius's goal has always been to destroy the United States for its evil and rebuild a new civilization equal to all, slaves and Deviant's alike. If he wanted to gain this power to fight this country, he needed to start consuming abilities.
