章 428: Chapter 428: Grindelwald and Nicolas Flamel's Divination

Just as the third-year wizards went to the castle entrance to 'meet' Fudge, Professor Trelawney had already finished preparing her attire and was at the door of the Headmaster's office.

Professor Trelawney was serious about getting a promotion and a pay rise.

Since she took up her post at Hogwarts thirteen years ago, Professor Trelawney has made the school her home—eating at the school and living at the school.

So logically, Professor Trelawney should not be short of money.

But she has a little hobby; she loves to drink Sherry. Combined with all the jewellery she wears... So Professor Trelawney is Hogwarts' number one spendthrift.

Not only does she have no money, but her salary is not enough to cover her expenses!

"Sybill?"

Dumbledore was also taken aback when he saw Trelawney, but he quickly became serious, "Is there a new prophecy?"

There's a reason for Dumbledore's doubt.

Chaos was already beginning to loom in the current British wizarding world. If the attack on Azkaban was still within Dumbledore's expectations, then the invasion of the Ministry of Magic completely took him by surprise.

In fact, Dumbledore also had his suspicions.

Because there were only a handful of wizards in the British wizarding world with the ability to do such a thing, not to mention the fact that person was directly confronting five Aurors, including Scrimgeour, in the Department of Mysteries.

There were only a few suspicious people.

In particular, when Dumbledore learnt of the actions of the person who infiltrated the Department of Mysteries, he almost thought that person was Andy.

According to the information from the Ministry of Magic, that person had entered the Brain Room, the Time Room, and the Death Chamber.

However, after the start of the school year, Dumbledore dismissed his suspicions about Andy.

If Andy had entered the Time Room, there was no reason for him not to snatch a Time-Turner from there.

According to Dumbledore's knowledge of Andy, he is not interested in knowledge that cannot enhance magical power, and he also treasures time—if it weren't for the Time Turner, Andy would not have signed up for all the elective courses.

This made Dumbledore's headache even worse!

If the person who infiltrated the Department of Mysteries was not Andy, it meant that in addition to Voldemort, there was someone else in the wizarding world who was hiding in the dark, plotting something.

"Prophecy? Ah, no."

Trelawney spoke with some restraint: "Headmaster Dumbledore, I came here this time hoping to... get a pay rise."

Dumbledore: "..."

How can you say something like that?

Dumbledore may spend all day in his office, like a seasoned old Neet. But there is very little that happens at Hogwarts, or even in the wizarding world, that he doesn't know about.

To be fair, as a professor who has been teaching for 13 years, there is nothing wrong with asking for a pay rise.

But you should at least show some results in teaching, shouldn't you?

What's your situation, Trelawney? Don't you have an idea?

"I've discovered a child with a talent for divination."

Trelawney continued. "He made a divination in class that Minister Fudge would come before ten o'clock. He may be here to see you."

Trelawney was of course well aware of her situation.

But in the field of divination, if you have no talent, you have no talent, no matter who teaches you.

At best, you can just memorise the textbook and follow the instructions, like Hermione.

"Who is it?" Dumbledore asked.

"Andy Collins,"

Trelawney said with some pride, "He has a Sight, but it is a bit blurry. Fortunately, the boy has extremely good magical expertise, and he can use a crystal ball to do divinations."

Dumbledore fell silent again on hearing this.

He understood this kind of divination.

There are roughly two types of divination in the wizarding world.

The first is like Trelawney's—they will use their Sight to predict the future and express the predicted future in words.

For example, the divination thirteen years ago.

The prophecy balls stored in the Department of Mysteries' Hall of Prophecy are also predictions of this form.

The second type is to use magic to present the predicted future in the form of images.

Dumbledore also knew a few such master Seers.

Gellert Grindelwald.

Nicolas Flamel.

They could all present their 'Sight' of the future.

Nicolas Flamel even used alchemy to create a prophecying crystal ball. Without having to cast a spell, the crystal ball would automatically show blurry visions of the future.

Grindelwald's divinations were quite outrageous.

Although he could only see fragments of the future, he could predict whatever he wanted.

"I see, Sybill."

Dumbledore said slowly, "I will consider the pay rise."

"Thank you, Headmaster Dumbledore," Trelawney said gratefully.

Finally, some money to spend!

After Trelawney left, Dumbledore slowly got up and walked to the window.

From this position, he could see directly towards the castle entrance, where a large group of young witches and wizards were gathering.

The gossip travels fast at Hogwarts. At first, only the third-year wizards, who had taken Divination, came to wait. But within just a few minutes, many wizards from other years arrived.

Andy was also there, dragged along by Hermione.

The two stood at the back of the crowd, waiting quietly for the arrival of Minister Fudge.

"If Minister Fudge really comes..." The young witch tried to make a last-ditch effort.

"Then what?" Andy asked.

Hermione looked dejected!

How could there be such talent-dependent magic as Divination in this world?

This is so unfair!

Hermione said angrily, "I'm never going to learn Divination again!"

Andy said with a smile, "Someone will leave us forever... Maybe Professor Trelawney's prophecy is about someone leaving Divination class forever."

Hermione: "..."

I really don't feel good about this!

After five minutes, a young wizard with good eyesight saw Minister Fudge walking towards the castle with two Aurors.

"It's Minister Fudge!" The young wizard exclaimed.

"Where? Let me see!"

"It's him! That's Minister Fudge; he's really here!"

"And there are two Aurors! It's exactly what Andy predicted."

"This is too amazing!"

"Andy made a real prophecy!"

The young wizards exclaimed in unison, looking at Fudge with excitement and a tinge of awe.

As soon as Fudge got close, he saw a large group of young wizards blocking the entrance to the castle. They were looking at him with sparkling eyes as if they were looking at a great man.

He IS a great man!

Fudge straightened his collar and put on a polite smile to look as amiable as possible.

"Hello, children!"
