Chapter 549: Roselle: Thieves Belong in Jail!
In the Fourth Epoch, the fog of history still silently enveloped everything, and the Vessel of the Stars continued to quietly guard this segment of history.
Here, silence and tranquility reigned, far removed from the chaos and warfare of the outside world, turning this place into a sanctuary.
Hidden within a secret history, Zaratul sensed that the outside world had already plunged into war, signaling the arrival of a new era.
He was well aware of Adam's methods. When this wave of the era surged, it would be the time for Adam to ascend to godhood.
Once Adam became a god, his brother Amon would undoubtedly seek his own opportunity to ascend.
These brothers were rivals, and Amon would never allow Adam to become a god before him.
It was time for Zaratul to leave this place, rather than waiting here for death.
Pales had grown old; his desire to wait for death was understandable, but Zaratul still had one last chance.
His avatar had already found the extraordinary characteristics of the Secret Servant in the Land Abandoned by God, but it was difficult to obtain them. Only his true form could have a chance.
As Zaratul emerged from that secret history, Pales, who had been guarding nearby, rushed over at the fastest speed and couldn't help but mock, "I won't let you leave."
"Amon is about to arrive. If you don't want him to find you, this is your last chance to escape."
"Heh, did you leak the information to him?"
"Blindly clinging to hatred is foolish."
"Do you think it's that easy to seek peace now?"
Pales sneered. It would be difficult for him alone to stop Zaratul, but the fog of history and the incarnations of the stars were watching this place.
"I am willing to pay a price for my previous offense," Zaratul's eyes gleamed with wisdom. "I can help you regain your strength in a short time."
"You want to become my ally?"
"Yes, because you are no threat to me now, and Amon is our greatest enemy."
"That's worth considering," Pales said with a smile, retracting his hostility. "But you must first help me regain my strength."
"Trapped here, I can't fulfill my promise," Zaratul said just as the fog of history outside began to churn.
Someone was breaking through the fog of history, trying to reach this segment.
"Amon is here," Zaratul's gaze grew more serious.
"His true form can't enter."
Pales was certain of this. Amon was always cautious and would not easily risk his true form under the gaze of the stars.
He would confirm through an avatar and then weave a large net with his true form, a strategy he often used.
"Not necessarily. Amon is now extremely eager to become a god. He might take a risk," Zaratul had a different view.
Although he didn't understand Amon as well as Pales, he knew Amon's unwillingness to be beneath Adam.
While they chatted, a thumb-sized transparent worm, the Worm of Time, emerged from the gray fog of history.
Once its plump body completely emerged from the fog, it transformed into Amon's form.
"Pales, Zaratul, you really are hiding here. You made me search hard."
Amon put on a crystal monocle, a mysterious smile on his lips.
His gaze was fixed on Pales, as if looking at prey he would never let escape.
"Were you discussing me just now?" Amon approached slowly. "Guess, is it my avatar or my true form?"
"If you don't want to die here, make a move!" Pales shouted, a giant clock rising behind him. The hands of time moved gently, trying to temporarily bind Amon's body to buy time to escape.
Zaratul did not hesitate. He pulled out three historical void images from the fog of history.
One was Roselle Gustav, dressed in a dark red coat with gold embroidery and curly brown hair.
Another was a divine offspring from the Rose School, Sia, and the last was a high-ranking member of the Red Army of War.
Although Zaratul knew many angels, Roselle Augustus, the Sequence 1 Knowledge Emperor, was always his first choice for summoning.
Powerful and easy to summon, Roselle rarely failed to respond.
"Time has passed so long that you've all forgotten the power of an Angel King, different from a typical Sequence 1!"
Amon's crystal monocle flashed with cold light. His gaze fell on Zaratul, directly stealing his three historical void avatars, making them his temporary allies to help restrain Zaratul.
A mysterious clock also rose behind him, its hands spinning rapidly, suppressing Pales' authority and binding his body.
"This is Amon's true form!"
Only when Amon revealed his ferocious fangs did Pales realize that the Amon who had risked entering the fog of history was indeed his true form!
"How did you deceive the incarnations of the stars guarding the fog of history?"
"Heh, just a birth vessel," Amon said dismissively.
Even though the Vessel of the Stars had complete intelligence, it couldn't stop his true form.
"Run!"
Zaratul, overwhelmed by the historical void images he had summoned, had no intention of continuing the fight.
His summoning of historical void images was full of flaws in Amon's eyes, easily stolen and used against him.
The authority of an Angel King far exceeded that of a Sequence 1 Secret Servant.
As Amon had said, since the Fourth Epoch, Angel Kings had rarely acted with full power. Without facing them directly, no one knew how terrifying their strength was.
As Zaratul retreated into the fog of history, Pales seized the opportunity to escape into the same direction.
Zaratul understood Pales' intentions. If he were in Pales' position, he would make the same choice.
"Heh, where can you escape to?"
Amon sneered. He had already left several Worms of Time in the fog of history, enough to temporarily hold Pales.
As he followed into the fog of history, Pales was trapped in the center, while Zaratul tried to regain control of his historical void images.
When Amon prepared to deal with Pales and take his extraordinary characteristics, Roselle Gustav, who had been wandering nearby, suddenly came to life.
Roselle first glared at Zaratul, then summoned a vast flood of knowledge, pouring it into Amon's true form!
"Thieves belong in jail!" Roselle shouted, and Pales quickly escaped the fog of history, returning to the real world.
Zaratul, startled by Roselle's sudden recovery of self-awareness, also fled, not daring to stay.
Though he didn't know how Roselle could regain control of his historical void image, one thing was certain: someone was setting a trap to hunt Amon!
He and Pales were merely bait, their purpose to lure Amon's true form here!
With Roselle's sudden attack, beams of starlight pierced the fog of history, striking Amon accurately.
In the brilliant starlight, the Vessel of the Stars slowly emerged from the fog of history.
"You are right, I can't stop your true form from entering the history of the Fourth Epoch," the Vessel of the Stars said slowly. "So, you successfully sneaked in silently."
At this moment, Amon, filled with Roselle's endless knowledge, exploded. Translucent Worms of Time appeared, then quickly reformed into a new Amon.
He used this method to escape Roselle's attack, though at a significant cost.
"Do you know why I kept Zaratul and Pales together?" The Vessel of the Stars asked as an ancient palace appeared faintly behind him.
"Because I knew Zaratul would summon Roselle Gustav's historical void image when facing you."
"And you, being a thief, would steal Zaratul's summoned historical void images, making them turn against him to better deal with Pales."
The Vessel of the Stars approached, the surroundings transforming into a splendid starry sky, a real starry sky.
"Roselle Gustav having his own consciousness was an unforeseen event, even for Zaratul, and certainly for you."
"You never expected that the toys you stole would one day turn against you, did you?"
Under the power of the Star Palace behind the Vessel of the Stars, the real starry sky formed a powerful starry cage, firmly trapping Amon.
At this moment, another figure appeared from the starry sky, the High-Dimensional Overseer .
It was with his help that Amon was transferred from the history of the Fourth Epoch to the real starry sky during Roselle's surprise attack.
Convincing the High-Dimensional Overseer to deal with Amon was simple; the stars promised to help him against the Lord of Storms, and that was enough.
