章 49: Report

Dark strolled down a dark hallway with his hands tucked into his pockets, he fixed his posture as torches hanging from the wall began to spark to life. The maroon carpet he walked over became visible as broken branches crashed and twirled through the window. 

"You're late!", a male voice barked. 

Dark turned, facing a monster 8 foot tall with the head of a bull but the body of a human, yet also the hooves of a bull. Despite this, he stood upright and carried a battleaxe strapped to his back, accompanied by a thin chain mail breastplate. His deep brown fur blowing in the soft wind. 

Dark turned and with his hands still in his pockets, he looked up meeting the pierced snout of the monster, "Hugo … good to see you friend". 

Hugo looked Dark over, "Who is your friend, don't forget that you rank below me". 

Hugo pushed past Dark and headed towards a set of pitch-black double doors. Dark grabbed his forearm, "Wait Hugo, we should catch up".
