"... And then i entered the library to read and you scared me and now... I'm talking to you. That's how my day went." Leticia finished, her words trailing off as she searched Devon's face for a reaction. His gaze, however, remained fixed on hers, his eyes sparkling with an unnerving intensity.

A nervous smile fluttered across her lips as she began to toy with her fingers.Why was he looking at her like that? Could it possibly be because she's been ranting about her day for over 5 minutes?

Devon's silence was broken by a low, teasing remark. " Quite the eventful day you've had, don't you think?"

Leticia's apprehension dissipated. Maybe he didn't mind after all.

"Tell me about yours?" she asked.

Devon's expression turned nonchalant, his fingers dancing across her back in a gentle caress. "The usual boring business meetings and oh, a lunch engagement with Ruolan. She extended her regards."
