The system that was in place in this world where Aaron had reincarnated was one where the best of the crops benefited the most.

The rich, influential and powerful controlled everything there was to control and made certain that the best of them came back to their families.

It was a world where the weak were trampled upon and forgotten while the powerful even got more powerful.

One example of this was the profession of mages.

Numerous professions exist in this world. However, mages stood at the top of the ladder in terms of earning and the comfortability of their lives.

While their job presented the highest risks, it was still worthwhile as long as one lived through it one day at a time.

Everybody wanted to be a mage and where they could not, they hoped a family member or a best friend or spouse would be.

It guaranteed a good life and the higher in the rank the said mage rose, the better the life they got.
