After he passed through the portal, the trial world started to collapse – though he did not get to witness that.

The inhabitants of that world (all generated based on his memory) crumbled apart into nothingness without even getting a chance to feel any pain at all.

His consciousness reconvened into the endless dark space and he found himself floating diagonally over the endless mass of water.

His eyes were still closed but he was completely aware of his surroundings.

He could now sense the ends of the space around him.

How could his senses have expanded so much?!

The answer was simple and easy for him to realize… his soul had fully transmuted, changing into something else.
