John shook his head. "I have to go. Please drive as fast as you can."

The taxi driver was taken aback for a moment. He shifted gears, increased the speed, and continued driving toward the slums. Soon, they hit a red light.

The driver reluctantly stopped the car and asked, "Are you an Awakened? Going to suppress the monsters?"

"Yes, that's right." John nodded.

"I see." The driver looked at the red light, which still had several seconds left, checked for safety, and then slammed the accelerator, running the light.
