章 110: Light...

In a plane of pure vast beauty and chaos, there existed a palace. Space and time forged its foundations, death and life its walls, knowledge and wisdom its roofs and potential as the very location itself. In such a place, distance was infinite but also finite. Death was more akin to life than wisdom to knowledge.

In such a space Silviana found herself, her consciousness at least. This place was oddly familiar but also foreign, massively so. Beings of light and emotion, expressed in shapes and patterns similar to phenomena in reality, buzzed or whizzed from place to place. Each segment of this place had a hall or room, or whatever you could imagine it to be, that represented emotions, information, power, the blood of reality and imagination.

"Aru, Luz, Imri... I found something new in the Garden of Possibility!"

Glowing orbs of light sparkled around one another as various other lights watched on in the distance. Silviana was apparently one of these orbs as she held a shadowy golden pulsation of light, like a pulsar exploding and radiating at a constant pace. Oddness and wrongness spread through her mind as her 'mind', soul, that was the correct term, observed hundreds of thousands of different light beings disappearing into non-existence. Fear swept through her despite her confusion.

"Impossible, we have looked at everything there."

"Not so! Come, come see!"

The beings currently in her view 'dashed' over to the new spectacle, a tree of dying roots and a apple of pure red. Green veins of life radiated from this 'apple', the very nature of it causing Silviana to recoil in disgust and revulsion.

'Why do I feel so disgusted?'

Her thoughts came slow as in the next second, the light known as Edun reached out with its will towards the apple. A flash and it was gone from existence. Many others forgot instantly who that being had been but knew that someone had just disappeared. Trepidation and concern fluttered through all of them as another light being, Aily, coming along with Ash running to follow her brother. She too vanished.

At the same time in other spaces the light being fled from their omni-dimensional palaces, haste being a theme that pressed upon all of them. One known as Mystryl, others, Selune, Shar, Chauntea... Light beings that all fled from the calamity that slowly began to claim their homes. Conversation sparked more heavily amongst the light being in front of Silviana as she noticed the vacuous void that slowly began to roil in consumption. Nothing was left in its wake.

Fleeing in desperation these light beings took to their escape vessel and ran into reality. Imagination, possibility, chaos, time, space, magic... All was discovered and manipulated with but a thought by these beings as they created stars, galaxies and universes. All of these light beings fractured across reality like an invasion force from a higher realm.

"Will we ever go back to Tengar?"

"I doubt it, Luz."

"I feel, i can't describe it... It is like I am close to death..."

"F-fe-fear?"

Light consumed Silviana's vision, her perception skewed and twisted to look back onto the world she was currently on. Beings of immense power existed here, but this realm, this world, was disjointed from the prime reality plane. Events and beings were clashing here that were not supposed to be. Overlord, Tensura... Who knows what else in the future. At this same time she noted the presence of lights of roiling mass and time hovering above the planet.

This was the planet before its rules were founded. Light being spoke to light being before one took off in a anger and despair. The other stayed and slowly gained the form of a dragon, one of immense size and power. Scales as white as white-holes and eyes as dark as blackholes delicately hovered above. Undulating magic, power and concepts burst forth from him and wrapped said world in his influence.

A flash once more. Pink-haired and full of energy, Milim stood in front of her. She smiled as the little wife that she had come to love dearly ran up to her. Then, in a flutter of rapid movement the same draconic figure emerged behind Milim, the spirit of that light being sticking with his daughter, forevermore.

"^%$#&*%*&#))(*@#, stay with my daughter and live a peaceful life..."

Draconic teeth emerged from the dragon as the being grinned in satisfaction, finding her silence to be an acceptance. Silviana attempted to speak but found her voice infinitesimally mellow, as if she had drunk hundreds of whiskeys and had burned her throat out in alcohol.

...

In the centre of the Capital City of Tempest, energy discordantly pulsated. Some elements were ungodly, shadow consuming much of it. Others were as pure as the sun itself, then light specks of nature flitted amongst the two sides. A shred of neutrality amongst the opposing forces.

Normally people would be in wonder of such a display of raw unfiltered power, but, this was not the case. Bodies of citizens and soldiers alike lined the streets and buildings. Breaths left their mouths and noses but currently a ritual unseen for centuries was now being conducted within this very city. A ritual that they would all benefit from and receive boons from. There were few individuals however that stayed awake to see such a scene, their minds exploding in possibilities as they witnessed the world itself almost shiver in expectation of the newly ascended beings.

An elf princess, her two guards, an adventuring team and a Demon recently summoned, all beheld the apotheosis of a Demon Lord. Scintillating yellow eyes of neon hues gazed at the spectacle before him, his mind calling to every scrap of information and understanding that he had about such processes. Confusion wracked his mind as the appearance of someone besides his master who could become superbly powerful was concerning. Placing down his new master, his steps closed the distance between him and the heart of the energy.

In the middle of this pillar of blazing power was a woman with silver hair, fox ears and two tails. She had four ears he noticed, one a set of Elven ears that were close to Dark Elves in appearance, the others the aforementioned Fox ears. His posture quickly changed to one of ruthlessness as his powers slowly crawled out of him, the power doing very little to intimidate him, especially considering the lack of completion in this person's festival. A single step forward drew him further to the ground as the gravity increased in potency. Unphased he continued onwards, his musculature and demonic energy carrying him forwards.

One Step, Two Steps, Three Steps... Soon ten steps were had and he was now close enough to launch a spell without fear of missing or alerting the being inside. Then it came, a deep feeling of unease and fear, a primordial fear deeper than any he had ever felt... fear soon became horror as he had experienced all forms of emotion before, or so he had believed, to make something like him, a Primordial Demon, wince in fear made this being much more important than he had considered.

One last step was taken before the person's eyes opened. LIGHT! Light spilled forth, like the flashes of millions of stars exploding all at once. A flash, a glimpse of the start of existence perhaps? He did not know. All he did know was that this figure blinded him and then closed its eyes, as if he were no threat to it. Sludge-like butterflied swam in his stomach as a sulphurous smell and power surged into the area. The figure had raised its' right hand, pink energy conflating around said being's hand.

A portal emerged from the ground before it as a woman of very tall stature emerged menacingly. He did not fear this woman, but caution was wise, as she emitted the same power as he did... That of a Primordial Demon.

"Heh, it is good that I am out of that place! Thanks for that, mistress...?"

The figured turned around and widened her eyes as she then turned back to the well-dressed primordial of black.

"I don't know why I was summoned, but, you are getting awfully close to a person that saved me from boredom. So you better be off lickety split or I'll knock your lights out."

She said all of this with a deadpan expression, her face showing no emotion and barely conveying any body language. Confusion abounded within the Primordial of Black's mind as he tried to understand how this figure that he, seemingly, had never seen before.

'Who have you gotten in league with, master?'

...

In the meantime, in a space of space-time limbo, a man dressed in bright red and black robes watched a shadowy vision of Silviana's world. Notes were jotted down in his book as his old leather-like face squinted. Dust slipped from his robes now as he was now adorned in travellers clothes, so ancient and dishevelled that one would consider them rags from the most vile of mummies.

"She has a lot of potential... Perhaps she will rise to her soul's power, like once before."

"Mmmm. I have a war to finish. We shall pick this up next time."

"Indeed, dragon reborn."

In the distance a blue box emerged, a hawking siren call flowing from it as it blitzed from one side of the space to the other, time not even being a measurement of its traversal. Raistlin attempted to make chase but failed as he was rebuffed by a powerful force shield of some kind.

"BLAST IT! That is the 2,000,000th time!"

"Hahaha, I must really and truly be going mad..."
