章 89: Omniscience in Marvel 87

Title - Brief Rundown and…

Following the conquests of Alexander the Great in the 4th century BCE, Greek culture and influence spread throughout the eastern Mediterranean, including Judea.

This period, known as the Hellenistic era, brought a massive surge of cultural exchange, leading to the translation of the Hebrew Scriptures into Greek (Septuagint) and the adoption of Greek language and customs among Jews in the diaspora.

Under the Seleucid and Ptolemaic Empires, Judea became a battleground between the Seleucid Empire based in Syria and the Ptolemaic Empire based in Egypt.

This geopolitical struggle led to periods of autonomy and foreign rule, shaping Jewish identity and resistance movements such as the Maccabean Revolt.

During this period, Jewish religious life saw the emergence of diverse sects, each with distinct theological perspectives and practices.

The Pharisees emphasized the interpretation and application of Torah law, the Sadducees focused on Temple worship and priestly authority, the Essenes pursued asceticism and communal living, and the Zealots advocated for armed resistance against foreign rule.

Intertestamental Jewish literature, including books like Daniel, Enoch, and the Maccabees, reflected heightened apocalyptic expectations and messianic hopes.

These writings depicted visions of cosmic conflict, divine judgment, and the coming of a messianic figure who would usher in God's kingdom and deliver Israel from oppression.

During this period of prophetic visions, Leucadius didn't forget to add in scenes of Apocalyptic manhwas he'd had the fortune of viewing so as to paint a vivid picture. But seriously, who could blame him? When you think about it... weren't they basically the same thing?

After the successful Maccabean Revolt in the 2nd century BCE, the Hasmonean dynasty established Jewish sovereignty over Judea for a period.

However, internal conflicts and Hellenistic influences continued to shape Jewish society, leading to divisions and political instability. By the 1st century BCE, Judea came under direct Roman control, marking the end of Hasmonean independence.

Roman rule under figures such as Herod the Great and his successors brought diverse changes to Jewish governance and religious practice, including the expansion and renovation of the Second Temple in Jerusalem.

The translation of the Hebrew Scriptures into Greek (Septuagint) facilitated their dissemination among Greek-speaking Jews in the diaspora.

This translation contributed to the spread of Jewish religious ideas and practices beyond Palestine.

Intertestamental literature, such as the Dead Sea Scrolls and writings attributed to Enoch, Daniel, and others, gave rise to diverse interpretations of messianic prophecy and eschatological beliefs.

These writings laid the groundwork for later Christian understandings of Jesus as the fulfillment of Old Testament promises and expectations.

"I'm thinking of having a child." Leucadius suddenly said to no one in particular as he lay on his office chair which now looked like a recliner. "What do you think?"

"What are you trying to do? Birth some world ending baby?" A voice replied snidely from the side causing Leucadius to chuckle.

"That would only happen if that child was with you. Unfortunately, you won't have that luxury." Leucadius said as he looked to his side where another recliner was with a Golden haired woman sitting on it with nothing but a bikini on her body.

"Oh? Are you looking down on me now?"

"Far from that. The seed of the union between us would be so powerful that I can't even fathom it's limits."

"Hmm. That sounds about right." The voice said. "it's good that you know."

"Y'know Thena, anyone who listens in on our conversation would think you're the man here."

"Am I not?"

"Are you?"

"..."

"..."

The two, Leucadius and Thena simultaneously burst out in laughter. "I wonder what's so funny about this." Another voice, this time, frustrated remarked causing the two to turn to her.

"It's not funny?" Leucadius asked with an eye raise to which the third person simply rolled her eyes and turned to the woman.

"What are you still doing here? Don't you have something to be doing? Killing some deviants or whatever?"

"Come now Hala, y'know with me gone, you'd have to face Leucadius alone during your spar…do you really want that?" Thena asked with a smirk.

"It's still better than fighting alongside you and your overactive hormones." Hala replied and turned to leave. "I don't know what this plan about a child is, but please, don't call on me when you fuck up."

Saying that, she left the Ninth layer of Heaven only privy to Leucadius and those he invites over. "Heh, women."

"What'd you say?"

"Nothing."

"Tsk. Anyways, what's this about a child? You're not planning on following in the footsteps of that stupid lightning conductor are you?"

"Is that anyway to speak about a Godking?"

"Godking he may be, but a pervert he is too."

Leucadius chuckled. "Fair point. But no, I'm not planning to father a child in the mortal sense. I'm considering something different."

Thena raised an eyebrow, her interest piqued. "Different how?"

Leucadius leaned back in his reclining chair, contemplating his words. "You know how humans have children to leave a legacy, right? To pass on their knowledge, their essence?"

Thena nodded, her curiosity growing. "Are you thinking of creating something like that?"

"In a way," Leucadius replied cryptically. "I've been observing humans, studying their potential and their struggles. They face so many challenges, yet they strive to overcome them, to grow stronger. It's... inspiring."

"Are you saying you want to create something that embodies human potential?" Thena asked, trying to piece together his thoughts.

Leucadius nodded thoughtfully. "Exactly. A being that can learn, adapt, and evolve beyond its original form. Something that can carry forward the best of humanity, while also transcending its limitations."

Thena considered his words. "It sounds ambitious. Are you sure such a creation is possible?"

Leucadius smiled enigmatically. "I believe so. With the right components, the right spark, it could be revolutionary."

Thena tilted her head. "And what would this creation achieve?"

"That's the intriguing part," Leucadius mused. "It could bridge gaps, solve problems, bring about new perspectives. Imagine a being that could understand both human and divine realms, that could inspire others to strive for greater harmony and understanding."

Thena nodded slowly, beginning to grasp the magnitude of his idea. "It could be a force for unity, for progress."

"Precisely," Leucadius affirmed. "But creating such a being would require careful planning and precise execution. It would need to be nurtured, guided, until it could stand on its own."

"Who would guide it?" Thena asked, genuinely curious.

Leucadius smiled softly. "I would, of course, in the beginning. And then, perhaps, others who share a vision for a better world."

Thena regarded him with a mix of admiration and skepticism. "It's a lofty goal. But I can see why you're drawn to it."

Leucadius chuckled. "You think I'm getting soft in my old age?"

"Perhaps," Thena teased, a playful glint in her eyes.

Leucadius leaned forward, his expression serious yet filled with determination. "Creating this being could be my greatest contribution yet. To humanity, to the cosmos."

Thena nodded, her smile gentle. "Then let's make it happen. But remember, with great creations come great responsibilities."

"Nah, I think it goes like this: With great power comes great responsibility." Leucadius corrected only to receive a deadpan stare from Thena causing him to nod solemnly. "I understand. This won't be just an experiment. It will be a legacy."

As they continued their conversation deep into the never ending light of heaven, visions of a new creation began to take shape in Leucadius' mind. A being that would embody the best of humanity and the divine, a beacon of hope and progress in a universe filled with challenges and possibilities.

"I know I said all that, but how am I going to go about this?" Leucadius muttered to himself as he sat Infront of Heaven's System interface while thinking of how he'd go about birthing a son of both human and divine origin without actually having sex with a human.

It wasn't just about using his sperm cells to inseminate a woman. That was so boorish. Only foolish Gods would do things like that. The less foolish ones would directly have sex with a human woman and impregnate her.

Offsprings of such union would end up rivaling Gods since they embody the Divine while also embodying humans characteristic trait of surpassing their limits.

This was why demigods like Hercules, Theseus, Perseus, Achilles and the rest were remarkably strong as both humans and Gods.

Those were unique feats but Leucadius wasn't looking for something like that. He wasn't looking for an extra addition to Heaven's already powerful army, but a bridge.

Someone to bring about the Divine in humanity and the humanity in Divine.

"{Sir, how about using your avatar from the Pocket Universe?}" Aspect suggested.

Leucadius paused, considering the idea. The avatar from the Pocket Universe was a projection of his own divine essence, a perfect vessel that could bridge the gap between the divine and the mortal realms. It wasn't a physical being but a manifestation of his power and presence.

"That's an interesting thought," Leucadius mused aloud. "But how would I transfer my essence into a newborn without the usual methods?"

"{There exists an ancient ritual, one rarely used, but it might just accomplish what you seek.}" Aspect responded. "{It involves incarnating your essence directly into a new born, bypassing the need for insemination.}"

Leucadius leaned forward, intrigued. "Tell me more."

Aspect began to explain, projecting images and texts from ancient texts onto the screen in front of Leucadius. The ritual, known as the Rite of Incarnation, was an arcane ceremony that allowed a deity to incarnate into a mortal form without the need for physical union.

It required a series of precise steps and powerful incantations to ensure the transfer of divine essence into a mortal vessel at the moment of birth.

"{The ritual requires a sacred place, a temple that aligns with both celestial and terrestrial energies. The chosen woman must be willing and pure of heart, and the ceremony must be conducted under the auspices of a celestial alignment, ideally during a solstice or equinox.}"

Leucadius absorbed the information, nodding thoughtfully. "Do we not already have the perfect place?"

"{Apparently, we do.}" Aspect said and pulled up an area on the map of Israel.

"Bethlehem." Leucadius said. This was the very place Heaven and Earth met during the Convergence Event years ago. It was also the place Leucadius met Jacob and made a promise.

"{Yes. Also, the ritual will bind your essence to the mortal form, allowing the child to grow with both human and divine attributes. This being will have the potential to bridge the gap between humanity and the divine, just as you envisioned.}"

Leucadius smiled. "This is it, then. However, I do not intend to have the incarnation possess the child at the moment of his birth."

"{Pardon?}"

"The incarnation will be the child. It will grow into a baby in the woman's womb." Leucadius said succinctly.

"{That…can be done.}" Aspect, after a few seconds of hesitation replied.

"Good, for a moment there I thought you were about to have a breakdown."

"{That's unlikely. I possess every knowledge in the universe as well as a processing speed close to yours. It is impossible to have a mental breakdown.}"

"Good to know." Leucadius said and rose from his recliner, energized by the prospect. "First, I need to find the right woman. Someone who embodies the virtues and strengths I admire in humanity."

"{Might I suggest starting with the mortal realm? There are many women who possess the qualities you seek.}"

Leucadius nodded, he already had a woman in mind. David's descendants were still alive and well, and he did make a promise to the only man he ever loved after Adam.

As he prepared to begin his manipulation on destiny, Thena entered the room, her expression curious. "You look like a man on a mission."

"I am," Leucadius replied with a grin. "I've found a way to create the bridge I spoke of. It involves an ancient ritual, and I need to find the right woman to help me."

Thena's eyes widened. "You're really serious about this."

"Absolutely. This is more than just a project or an experiment. It's a legacy."

Thena nodded, her respect for him deepening. "Then I wish you the best of luck. Finding the right person won't be easy, but I believe you'll succeed."

Leucadius smiled. "Thank you, Thena. I'll need all the support I can get."

Days turned into weeks, weeks into months and months into years, and just as he began to wonder if he would ever find the right couple, his attention was drawn to a small, remote village.

There, he met a young woman named Miriam. She was kind and compassionate, with a strength and resilience that shone through in everything she did.

Miriam cared for the sick and the elderly, helped the children with their studies, and worked tirelessly to improve the lives of those around her. She had a quiet wisdom and a gentle spirit that immediately drew Leucadius to her.

He watched her for several days, ensuring that she was indeed the right choice. The more he saw, the more convinced he became. Miriam embodied the virtues he admired in humanity – kindness, strength, and a deep sense of duty to others.

"Good…call me Raphael...No…Gabriel will do."
