章 101: The Call of the Dragons

The morning air was crisp and fresh as I made my way to the guildhall. After our relaxing getaway, it was time to return to reality, and for me, that meant taking on new missions. Raven had already left for her company, a quick kiss and a promise to stay safe our only parting words. As I pushed open the heavy wooden doors of the guildhall, I was greeted by the familiar buzz of activity. Adventurers of all ranks milled about, discussing quests and strategies, while the guildmaster barked orders from his usual spot by the notice board.

"Jade! Over here!" a voice called out. I turned to see Lucas, a fellow adventurer and friend, waving me over. He was grinning from ear to ear, clearly excited about something.

"Hey, Lucas. What's up?" I asked, making my way through the crowd to join him.

"You won't believe it! There's an S-rank mission posted on the board. It's been ages since we had one of those," he said, his eyes gleaming with excitement.
