In truth, my mother seemed to delight in making my life difficult, fully aware that my affinity was with fire, and that my knowledge was limited to fire-type spells.
"Mom, aren't you going a bit overboard? I'm only five years old, how am I supposed to defeat this monster?" I said innocently.
"Don't complain, Jade. Raven, at your age, easily faces off against level B monsters," she retorted.
But Mom, you can't compare us. She's much stronger than I am, and besides, she's the villain of the book. She's destined to reach SS level in the future.
I couldn't muster another word as I was abruptly cut off by my mother.
"Too late," she declared, hurling a small fireball at the wyvern before vanishing into thin air. Now, the wyvern charged towards me, its eyes ablaze with fury.
Sometimes I wonder if she truly loves me. The wyvern was approaching rapidly, its massive form cutting through the air with terrifying speed.
"Inspection," I whispered under my breath

Aquatic Fury (B): When provoked, the wyvern unleashes Aquatic Fury, a devastating water-based attack that can cause significant damage to anything in its path.
Fire Vulnerability (C): This is a weakness rather than a skill. The wyvern's affinity with water makes it particularly susceptible to fire-based attacks, which can exploit this vulnerability.
Age: 25 ]
I had once thought my mother to be a demon in disguise, but now, as the wyvern loomed before me, I realized she had given me a fighting chance. The beast's vulnerability to fire sparked a glimmer of hope within me, and with that, I steeled myself for the battle ahead.
The wyvern stood towering before me, its eyes a pair of glistening sapphires set in a visage of emerald scales. Yet, I resolved to strike first. Channeling my magic, I snapped my fingers, and a volley of fire arrows materialized in the air.
"Fire arrows!" I cried out, releasing them towards the wyvern.
With a swift reaction, the wyvern conjured an ice barrier, a shimmering wall that halted my fiery assault. Undeterred, I followed up with a barrage of fireballs, each one cast with more fervor than the last. The ice shattered under the relentless heat, and the remaining fireballs found their mark. Smoke billowed from the impact, obscuring the wyvern from view.
As the smoke cleared, the wyvern emerged, wounded but far from defeated. Its injuries were superficial.
It was a promising start, indeed. I had managed to land a blow, but the true test lay in claiming victory over the creature.
At that moment, the wyvern's fury escalated, its roar thunderous, a sound so deafening I had to cover my ears. Then, with a suddenness that left no room for hesitation, it unleashed a torrent of water from its gaping maw, a deluge aimed directly at me. My reflexes kicked in, and I dodged the aquatic assault with a nimble leap.
But the wyvern was cunning. As I evaded, it closed the distance between us and struck with its clawed limb, sending me tumbling meters away. I landed with a roll, shaken but unharmed. It appeared I had underestimated this wyvern. Rising to my feet, I braced myself for another attack, but before I could gather my focus, it launched a barrage of water arrows at me. Unprepared, I braced for impact, but the arrows never hit.
Confusion gave way to realization as I noticed a shimmering barrier around me and the bracelet Raven had given me glowing with protective energy. It seemed the wyvern was mocking me, mirroring my technique with its watery projectiles.
Enough was enough. It was time to escalate the confrontation. Since its magical attacks seemed futile against me, I seized the opportunity to counterattack. I charged forward, closing the gap between us rapidly. The wyvern, undeterred, prepared another torrential blast from its mouth. The attack hit, but the bracelet's barrier flared to life, shielding me from harm. A smile tugged at my lips as I continued my advance, now standing before the wyvern's still-open maw, a cascade of water pouring forth.
It was time to unleash my magic. "Fire Explosion," I declared, channeling all my fiery wrath into a single, devastating attack aimed straight into the wyvern's mouth.
The wyvern, caught off guard by the sudden inferno within its throat, reeled back in agony. The flames, fueled by the wyvern's own watery breath, turned the creature's advantage into its downfall. Steam hissed as water met fire, and the wyvern's roar was drowned out by the cacophony of the elemental clash.
I stood firm, my hand still outstretched from the spell, watching as the wyvern struggled to regain its composure. The beast shook its massive head, trying to dispel the burning sensation that had seared its insides.
With the wyvern momentarily incapacitated, I knew this was my chance. I couldn't let my guard down—not when victory was within reach. "Fire Arrows!" I called again, summoning another volley. This time, the arrows flew true, striking the wyvern's underbelly where its scales were thinnest.
The wyvern let out a pained screech, its movements becoming erratic as it tried to fend off the relentless assault. I, seizing the moment, prepared my final and most potent spell. "Fire Explosion," I whispered, pouring every ounce of my will into the incantation.
The air around the wyvern ignited in a brilliant blaze, a fiery maelstrom that enveloped the creature. When the flames subsided, the wyvern lay defeated, its once vibrant scales now dull and charred.
I approached the fallen wyvern cautiously, my heart heavy with the weight of my actions.
But before I could reach out to confirm the wyvern's demise, a chime pierced the silence, and a notification materialized before my eyes.

The sight of the notification brought a weary smile to my face. It was over; the wyvern was indeed vanquished. A wave of relief washed over me, releasing the tension that had gripped my heart. Then, suddenly, darkness enveloped me, swallowing the world whole. The last thing I heard was my mother's voice, distant yet urgent, calling out my name.
