After the events in the hall settled down, the students surrounded Eden and pummeled him with questions.
"How did it feel to die?" "What did you see?" "Why do you look like that?" Faced with the nonstop interview, he only had one thing to say.
"I will answer your questions later, for now I'll take these two to another room." Everyone looked at the pair in his arms and found that they had fallen asleep.
Eden checked their bodies and knew that they were pretty exhausted. He didn't know what they were up to in his absence, but it must've been interesting.
While carrying the two back to his room, he threw a casual glance at his three friends, enjoying the look of annoyance and fear in their eyes.
~
About an hour passed until the two finally awoke.
*Yawn*
Sylvia yawned as she opened her eyes, feeling her fatigue lessen.
As the drowsiness went away, her memories came crashing back and she shot up in the bed, eagerly looking around.
Nothing.
The only one she noticed was Alycia next to her, equally confused and sad.
"He's…not here…is he?" Starting to think that it was all a dream, Sylvia started to spiral as her despair came creeping back.
But before she could fall any further, the door opened and her worries eased instantly.
She saw those sharp golden pupils staring at her teasingly.
"The two sleepyheads are finally up? I was starting to worry." Seeing his handsome smile sent her heart aflutter yet again.
Eden could only shake his head at the squirming girl before shifting his attention to Alycia who only stared at him in silence.
"Good afternoon to you too. Is my new appearance too jarring for you?" Hearing his carefree words and seeing his attitude created a beautiful smile on Alycia's face.
"Finally…I can really see you!" Alycia marked today down as one of the best days of her life. She finally got to see her beloveds true self, and he seemed much happier.
"So, I imagine you have questions? Feel free to ask, I'll be honest." Eden sat next to them and awaited the bombardment.
But it never came.
"Nothing? Really…?" He was confused by their behavior.
The two women just exchanged glances and nodded.
"We don't need to know. As long as you promise us that you won't die again, we don't care what secrets you have." The determination in their tone and the seriousness in their eyes reminded Eden of his women in the divine realm.
'Mortals with love as strong as gods…I definitely can't let them go.' Relaxing, Eden promised not to die as he laid back on the bed.
"Enough about boring things like resurrection. What happened while I was out?" After he asked, they took turns explaining the events that followed.
"That's when Eli invited me to the forest under the pretense of giving information about your killers. Once I was distracted he used some weird skill on me and took away my strength. He was intending to…don't worry, luckily Alycia arrived and helped me!!" At the end of her sentence, she felt a massive amount of energy pour out of Eden's body as he looked at her worriedly, so she hurriedly informed him and tried to calm him down.
Albeit relived she wasn't harmed, his killing intent didn't subside one bit.
"Where is he?" His voice was as calm as a lake, masking his rage.
He didn't see Eli in the hall earlier and figured he must've been buried under his covers in his room.
"Dead. Alycia's pretty fierce you know! Who would've thought that such an innocent looking girl could be so cruel?" Sylvia chuckled and glanced at Alycia thankfully.
Eden was surprised at the news before noting Alycia's nervous look.
Sitting up, he engulfed her in his arms before praising.
"So you were avenging me? Thank you for that, truly. I hope you gave him hell." Being suddenly hugged caused Alycia's brain to short circuit. She loved the contact but it was so different from the usual stoic Eden that it took a second to connect the two.
But nonetheless, she felt as if she was awarded the greatest trophy in the world and got absorbed into his embrace.
"Ah!…what about me? I helped! I want affection as well!" Sylvia clung on his back and nuzzled her face against him.
"Yes, yes, Sylvia is amazing as usual." He patted her head before continuing the conversation.
"So what was your next course of action?" Alycia separated a bit before speaking of her plans.
"After I killed them all I was planning on joining you in the afterlife. But now…I don't care about them or this kingdom. We should leave before they try again." Her words were so straightforward that Sylvia recoiled. While she thought about it as well, she didn't have the guts to follow through.
Her plans were to just live the rest of her life honoring Eden's memory. She only wanted to become a hero and spread his name throughout the world. Hoping that when she did die, she'd find him in the next life.
"I agree with the idea though. We should leave. Now that you're back, I don't care about the kingdom, going home, or the rest of the class. With Eric's connections to the King, he could probably get Languid to take action against you." Sylvia shared Alycia's worries and tried to convince him to leave with them.
Eden appreciated their concern but scoffed at his opponents.
"Languid? The king? Are they something to fear?" His arrogance would surprise anyone, after all he was killed by beginner level students, but he wanted to go against a Legendary level figure?
But for the girls who were enchanted by his aura, they believed his words. More importantly, if he decided to stay, they would follow him as they didn't fear death more than they feared losing him again.
"Don't worry about saving this world, it ultimately doesn't matter. Instead, let's have fun here. Think of it as a mini vacation before I take you some place better, okay?"
Both girls were confused at his statement but still nodded in agreement, curious to see what he had planned.
"What are you going to do then?" One of them asked.
"Let's start with Kei….as for Eric? I have other plans for him." Eden's smile turned into a smirk, feeling like he was back to his old ways.
The smirk that haunted countless Gods nightmares and sweetened Goddesses dreams.

-Elsewhere in the castle-
*Slam!*
"Damnit! Everything was going great! Why does this have to happen to me?!" Eric paced around the room, smashing vases and punching the wall.
Mike just silently watched, unconcerned. The only thought on his mind was getting back to the town so he can continue teasing that cute girl he met.
Kei on the other hand shared Eric's anger as he thought of Eden and Sylvia in a room together.
He clenched his fists, his sharp and unkept nails digging into his palm.
"Haaa….calm down, calm down…I'm great, I'm a Saint. I'm THE Saint! Chosen by the Goddess herself!" Controlling his anger, Eric stopped pacing and turned to face his friends.
"He hasn't said anything about us so maybe he doesn't remember. That could work out in our favor. Kei, I want you to approach him and see what's happening. If the goddess truly brought him back, what else did she give him? Report back to me during tomorrow's training." Giving that order, Eric turned and left the room after tidying up his appearance.
"What? W-wait!" Seeing his departing figure, Kei could only sigh before looking at Mike.
"He had a dinner tonight with the princess. I suggest you listen to him, he's already upset. Besides, they've been in the room an awfully long time." Mike patted his friend on the shoulder before taking off.
Now left alone, Kei's anger resurfaced and he stormed towards Eden's room.

*Knock Knock Knock*
"Sir Eden? Her Highness has invited you to dinner with the Royal Family. Will you be attending?" The butler outside the door spoke.
'Dinner, huh…sounds interesting. Though the way he spoke doesn't seem like an invitation, more like an order.' Eden looked at the two women who fell back asleep and decided to attend.
'The queen and the princess. I wonder what they're like?' A smile appeared on his handsome face as he remembered them.
Thus he changed his clothes and set out for dinner, the outcome would decide the fate of the Royal Family.
