VALENCIA'S POV

"Baby, can you wait for me here? I'll be back after checking what it is," Maverick cupped my cheeks, and I furrowed my brows. 

I looked at him sternly. 

"Maverick, what do you think of me? Am I just someone you love?" I asked. 

Maverick shook his head. 

"What are you talking about, Mitsuki? You're not just someone I love. You are the love I marked, someone who will stay by my side, and I will love you for the rest of eternity. You are someone who will be my Luna and–" Maverick paused. 

Maybe he understood why I asked this question, and he sighed before ruffling his hair as he wore his jacket. 

I did the same, and he pulled me by hand before planting a chaste kiss on my lips. 

"I will never be able to win against you when it comes to words," He said before he took me out of the private house, where a car was already waiting for us. 

We sat in the car to go to the destination where the bodies were found.
