I waited for a few minutes before I sighed and pressed the red button near my bed to call the nurse.

Soon the nurse walked in along with Aiden, who looked at me with confusion etched on his face.

"What's wrong?" He asked, and I shook my head.

"I need to be somewhere. Besides, I am really fine and don't need this special treatment anymore," I said before looking at the nurse who looked between me and Aiden hesitantly.

I am sure what she was thinking. What was a wolf like me doing talking with a human as if we were long friends. I scoffed internally.

It wasn't hard for me to decipher that the werewolf staff working in this hospital was mostly from Alpha Maverick's pack, and if I wasn't wrong, they were probably keeping an eye on me too. And the fact alone was enough for me to want to leave this place as soon as possible.

"But miss -" The nurse started.
