章 220: Postscript
With that, Volume 2 concludes. Volume 3 will begin the following day, assuming no delays. As I mentioned in the postscript of Volume 1, Volume 3 will be the shortest in this fanfiction.
It's unlikely that we'll reach 300 chapters, and I'm surprised by how much longer this project has become than anticipated. While I wish I had included more slice-of-life chapters in Volume 2, I'm satisfied with the ones I did manage to include.
As for Volume 3, the main focus will be on Yasushi and Jingliu, along with a few other characters. Significant time skips will occur throughout, spanning days to weeks, possibly even a few months, though not years. Perhaps only the last chapter might skip forward that far, but most readers can likely anticipate how it will play out.
If you've read the Volume 1 postscript, you may recall that I didn't initially plan this fanfiction. It all began spontaneously, and I simply followed where it led.
With that said, the choice to include supernatural elements was something I debated. Eventually, I decided to bring them in—not to the point of giving Yasushi powers to compete with them but to enhance the world-building.
Yasushi had an experience that I'd call this original world's version of a "Black Flash." I tried coming up with a name for it but eventually gave up. I might give it one in Volume 3 after doing some research—maybe something Latin.
Anyway, thanks for reading this garbage I put together, whether you're a current, past, or future reader.
The Volume 3 postscript will be the last chapter that may allude to any future fanfictions I might make, though my main goal on this account is just to write slice-of-life fanfics. In the distant future, I might create a new one that's more action-focused, though that feels jarring at the moment.
