章 113: Large-Scale Mobilization

When the demons in Damian's territory were besieged, he mobilized his war paladins, and the well-trained iron-backed horses raised their iron hooves and trotted towards the enemy.

The dense sound of the horses' hooves gathered, approaching the territory where Roger was engaged in battle, setting the stage for one of the bloodiest confrontations in history.

"Did you expect this?" Frieren was impressed by all the demons before her eyes and took a deep breath to prepare.

Damian had anticipated it. He had mobilized a large part of his troops to the newly built wall due to the dense number of demons. When the enemy detected them, they sent large demons to attack, but the original plan after killing them was to integrate with the Northern Army and take on their own responsibilities.

Entering the range of the archers, Wilson and Drogo led two charging legions, while Frieren led the magic squadron. As the supreme commander of his entire army, Damian focused solely on giving orders to the puppets, which were the first to clash with the demons.

Dozens of enormous stone arrows struck the enemy, but they retaliated as well.

The shields in the front raised their arms, and on the metal shields appeared a magical barrier that provided even more protection when a large number of these shields were in one place, as they were now.

The catapults did their job, and dozens of explosive balls destroyed the orcs, who, ten years ago, were invincible on the battlefield but now were less than trash.

Even they knew it. Damian didn't even understand why these demons used the orcs as their primary attack force in all their attempts to conquer humans.

The demon general, seeing the humans advancing towards him, panicked. He wanted to flee, but Damian's eyes, fixed on him, warned him that if he took one step off this battlefield, he would be killed.

This demon had a strong premonition. He knew that if he fled, he would be besieged, and if he stayed, he would die, but at least he would kill a few more demons. This was exactly what he desired: to kill as many humans as possible so that his death would not be in vain.

Damian didn't need to move a muscle to cast powerful chain spells alongside Frieren, who was also fighting.

Fire spells were the most destructive on the battlefield, compared to the lightning spells that only Damian mastered perfectly. The fire attacks were the most striking due to their damage expansion.

"For humanity, attack."

The fallen humans on the battlefield were attended to by dozens of priests, who were carried out by small mouse puppets that Damian had created. From his perspective, the human advance was splendid.

The only army that stood out on the battlefield was the night legion, who, with their magical armor and strength-enhancing potions, were practically invincible in close combat.

Taking advantage of this opportunity, Damian led the archers to shoot arrows quickly. After two rounds of arrows, more demons had fallen on the battlefield.

Seeing that the situation was dire, the demons were heading towards where the night guard was advancing without any hindrance in this war.

Damian's eyes had lost all the emotion a human could develop on the battlefield; he focused only on the best tactics and destroying the enemy.

When should he go after the Demon King?

His visitors had not left; they remained in his city. So, he had to decide whether to go to sea to fight a war that wasn't his or defeat the demons on this continent, which was practically his home.

Why didn't he use his power to fight these demons and finish them off?

Well, the Demon King could appear at any moment. Maybe he was waiting for the opportunity to kill him in his moment of weakness, and that was the only reason he couldn't weaken himself too much.

"My lord, be careful."

Damian turned at the sound of that voice, and at that moment, he saw a leopard-shaped demon charging at great speed into his field of vision.

In a blink, Damian raised his hand to shield himself from the kick aimed at his head and, holding onto the horse, prepared to take the impact.

Boom!

Damian manipulated the horse to keep it calm and moments later unsheathed his sword, cutting the demon who had come for his life in half.

Frieren, seeing this, felt increasingly euphoric, killing demons. She appeared as a goddess of war without a trace of emotion, whose purpose on this battlefield was to kill all demons.

That feeling was what Damian expected from her.

"Drogo, bring me the general's head," Damian shouted after seeing that the battle was reaching a stalemate.

Receiving this order, Drogo moved regardless of nearby enemy attacks. Wilson cursed at this and took it upon himself to protect him as he advanced.

"Crazy bastard, do you want to die?"

"Shut up and watch my back."

"Lunatic."
