I was so shocked to discover my heart beating crazily that I subconsciously placed my hand on it. Why was it beating that fast?

Just because he was handsome? Emily, tap him! Touch him! Wake him! You can't just keep staring at him like that. What if he suddenly wakes, and finds you staring at him?

How would you explain that?

I wanted to shake myself out of the strange fantasy he had put me in. I didn't want to stare at him, but really, it was all I wanted to do. His white sweatshirt made him look even more desirable for some reason, and I had the insane urge to push his hair out of his face.

Why would a person be as handsome as that? Then, my eyes fell on his lips, and I confirmed that it wasn't just a drunken desire to kiss him again.

What if Sadie suddenly pushed the door open, and saw me staring at him like that?
