章 41: First Test 2

Frustrated, angered, and confused, Kia used whatever he could find—cans, broken pieces of wood, anything. He bashed the zombie with a can, slammed its head with a plank, and kept going until the creature was visibly weakened. Blood poured from its head and body, and it started to move sluggishly.

Summoning the last of his strength, Kia lunged for his gun. He grabbed it, turned around, and aimed directly at the zombie's forehead. His hand steadied as he took a deep breath. This he couldn't afford to miss.

"Die, you bastard," he muttered through gritted teeth and pulled the trigger.

The bullet tore through the zombie's skull, and the creature dropped like a puppet with its strings cut, finally lifeless.
