Chapter 38 – The Power of E-Rank Force

Merry and I left the house soon after Dad was back from escorting Ivan out, telling him we were taking a stroll. We walked together toward the unknown, unafraid of the battles to come.

"Where are we going?" Truthfully, the destination was only unknown to me, she initiated the trip outside after concluding we needed to investigate the hidden reasons behind Dad's dismissal.

"To Dad's former boss, we can ask him a few questions," she casually explained, making me raise an eyebrow. It took a second for my reaction to sink in, "Oh, I checked most information about you and Dad before I joined your family, including his workplace. I know many other things, for example, I even know you used to touch yourself once a-"

"That's enough," I coughed immediately, pulling her lithe body from her waist. As expected, she giggled and hugged me back, and we both ignored the inconvenience of walking that way, enjoying each other's touch.

"Who is that boss?"
