Tatian was deep in sleep when I was jolted from sleep and sat on the bed. I listened to the sounds in the room and then heard two heartbeats loud and clear and they came from Tatian's belly.

My eyes widened as the news registers, and a mix of disbelief and amazement flickered on my face as my breath caught for a moment absorbing the weight of the revelation. I listened in again and true to my hearing the heartbeats were strong and vibrant. A broad smile slowly spreads across my face as my eyes light up with joy, reflecting the excitement and happiness I was feeling. He may find it hard to contain his emotions, his smile turning into an expression of genuine elation.

I stared down at Tatian, leaned down to her belly, and listened in again.
