章 331: 331: The night of fright

'What the hell are you thinking about, Sui? You travelled with the Grand Duke and the aide for so long. Surely, you would have realised if the aide was a demon by now. There is no need to be suspicious of this innocent person.'

Sui reminded herself, but her heart refused to believe what her brain told her.

There was a tug-of-war between Sui's brain and her mind; the two forces were constantly at war, not giving Sui enough room to breathe.

"Lady Sui, are you feeling alright? Should I call the doctor to check up on you?"

The aide asked as he reached out to take Sui's temperature. But as he neared Sui, she unconsciously pulled herself back and out of his reach.

She did not know why, but Sui's instincts told her that she could not let this demon touch her body so carelessly. (even the face)

"I am fine! I don't think anything is wrong with me, but my brother will check me out tomorrow. If you are bothered by it, I should also return to my room."
