The eerie silence of the city enveloped me, its desolation weighing heavily upon my senses. Everywhere I turned, destruction stretched out in every direction, a stark testament to the devastation wrought upon this once-thriving urban landscape. The only semblance of order amidst the chaos was the network of roads, their cracked and fractured surfaces serving as the only markers of the city's former layout. The absence of life, of bustling activity, was unsettling, casting a pall of desolation over the entire scene.
The scale of destruction surrounding me failed to deter my progress as I navigated through the city. Unfazed by the chaos, I moved with purpose, my steps unhindered by the obstacles in my path. I traversed the landscape with ease, scaling rubble and leaping over gaps where necessary, my movements fluid and decisive. Despite the devastation that surrounded me, my traversal of the destroyed city was swift and efficient.
Over my time traversing through the city, I couldn't help but notice the numerous craters brimming with the repulsive green ooze. It was evident that this city had borne the brunt of multiple bomb blasts, each leaving behind its own mark of devastation. The sheer scale of destruction made me wonder if such excessive force was truly necessary. However, dwelling on such thoughts seemed futile in the face of the harsh reality unfolding before me.
'Finally out at last!' The relief washed over me as I emerged from the desolate cityscape, my gaze fixed on the distant tree line marking the edge of a dense forest. With determination fueling my steps, I set off in that direction, knowing that I would reach the forest's embrace by day's end.
True to my expectations, as night descended, I found myself standing at the edge of the forest, the looming shadows of the trees stretching out before me. Despite my familiarity with entering my mindscape, I exercised caution this time, seeking cover between two large boulders before delving into the depths of my mind.
Once inside, I did what I had been doing for the longest time: I began sorting through the memories in my mind, even digging up old ones, whether they belonged to this body or to mine from my old world. Everything was here, being sorted. I even started designing a library to hold all the sorted books. It was pretty big, comparable in size to some national libraries.
Like this I spent my first night in the forest sorting my mind and enjoying steak when I got bored of sorting my mind until dawn where I sat off to hunt beast and level up.
