Leaving the museum wasn't that hard considering most groups of Ratmen lived further into the museum, but leaving the museum left me unsure of where to go where to go so I just wandered the streets of the bombed city.
This led to the discovery of what I would like to call more ooze infected beast, turns out rats were not the only thing transformed by the weird green stuff that came from the bombs.
Cats, Dogs and even birds were changed, mutated to become stronger, larger and much more viscous. It was so bad that I could not even fight half of them in direct fight as even a simple mutated dog was enough to rip me apart.
Luckily though that was just half as I could face the less mutated beast who if the system was to be believed were tier .9 just .1 away from becoming tier 1, a threshold I'm guessing once reached will give the beast a qualitve change, making them much more dangerous.
I even watched a mutated pigeon pass this threshold the other day. It was feasting on the remains of some ooze beast I had killed, and let me say the transformation was not pretty as the pigeon even though already mutated to the point it was 1 meter in size grew even larger to thrice that size and sprouted 2 more pairs of wings while it's legs grew bigger with sharp dangerous looking claws.
Sadly for the ooze beast I was not going to let it finish evolution and I at that time drove a piece of rebar threw it's skull, netting me 50 exp pushing my level at that time from 7 to 8.
That was 3 days ago and now I'm on the cusp of level 9 as thanks to the pigeon expirenece I learned that ooze beast evolve from eating other ooze beast and so from that point on I been leaving piles of corpses of the ooze beast laying around as I waited for anything to take the bait.
At times it failed as tier 1 ooze beast would come along and eat all the corpses but at others I would get lucky and kill the evolving ooze beast netting me a clean 50 exp a amount that would be the same as going to hunt multiple tier 0 beast.
That why I'm already on the cusp of level 9 a threshold and was now crouched inside a destroyed store front waiting for another ooze beast to take the bait.
*Squeak*
Suddenly I began to hear weird noises coming from not to far up the streets fro where my bait was set, causing me to slightly peak out to see where it was coming from and to say I was surprised would be a understatement.
'what are Ratmen doing this far from the museum?' that's right it was Ratmen but not just any Ratmen but Ratmen in what looked to be in makeshift armor and wielding spears.
'1, 2,....15!' There were 15 entire ratmen geared in armor and weirling spears as they moved down the street until they reached where I had layed out the ooze beast corpses as bait.
*Squeak* *Squeak*
After communicating for a bit the ratmen wasted no time picking the corpses up and then heading back in the direction they came from.
'need to follow them' with that Idea in mind I immediately began to follow what I'm guessing was hunting party as they made there way in the direction of the museum.
