The pool was full that day because people wanted to tan their skin beneath the sun.
While waiting for Sebastian, Irene found lawn chairs for them beside the pool deck, and then ordered champagne for both of them.
A group of men near the pool deck turned their heads as she lay down on the chair alone. A beautiful woman who roamed around without company might look like a vulnerable prey.
"Hey there, beautiful! Are you alone?!" A man called out for her, his voice loud and confident.
"Come here! Let's swim together!"
Irene lifted her sunglasses and watched the group of men who couldn't stop whistling at her. She hissed in disgust because they looked like a bunch of losers.
Some of them even looked like an old man who had been married for so long.
If she couldn't find a handsome man, how could she test her heart?
"Do you mind if I join you, sweety?"
