章 4: Chapter 4
Oreki POV
Arriving at the doorstep of Café Stile, we were greeted by the other two waitresses. One of the girls had an average height with knee-length blonde hair tied into twin tails, with chin-length strands hanging on either side and bangs over her forehead. She had blue eyes and an extremely well-endowed figure. She wore the same outfit as Maika but with a blue theme.
The other girl had chin-length brown hair and purple eyes. Her height was almost loli-like, I would say. She wore the same outfit as the other two but with a yellow theme.
I don't know their name yet, curse me for being uncultured but I know the name of trap though
"Welcome to Café Stile!" said the two waitresses.
"I'm back," Maika said to her friends tiredly.
"Oh, Maika-san, welcome back," the blonde said. She then looked at me, then back at Maika, and curiously asked, "Who is this?"
"This is Kamisato Oreki-san," Maika introduced me to her friends.
"Is he your boyfriend?" the brown-haired girl teased Maika. Don't react weirdly, Maika. I looked at Maika, and she was blushing.
'CUTE!' I screamed internally.
"AWAWAWA, no! We are not. I just met him on the way," Maika denied vehemently. 'Oof.'
"Stop it, Mafuyu. You're making Maika embarrassed," the blonde said to the brown-haired girl named Mafuyu.
"I'm Hinata Kaho this girl beside me is Hoshikawa Mafuyu, nice to meet you" Kaho introduce both of them
"Hello, nice to meet you too," I said, bowing and extending my hand to shake hers.
"Kamisato-san here wanted to find a place to eat. Luckily, I accidentally bumped into him, so I brought him here," Maika explained.
"Oh, I see. Then Maika, guide him to an empty table," the blonde said.
"Come, Kamisato-san," Maika said as she walked, and I followed behind.
After settling myself at the table, Maika gave me the menu while she waited for my order.
"Just an omelet," I said, handing the menu back.
"One omelet, is that it?"
"Yup."
"Please wait for the food," Maika said, and it seemed she wanted to talk.
"Do you have something in mind?" I asked.
"The weather is good today, huh?" Maika said, looking around. I could see the others facepalming.
I laughed lightly. "So, why did you start working here?"
"I wanted to study abroad, but I want to use my own money," Maika said with a determined expression. "And I want to study Western culture in a closer environment."
"I see, that is admirable of you, even though it's going to be pretty scary to be on your own overseas," I nodded sagely.
"No worries, I'll be fine on my own," Maika said with a genuine smile.
"Beautiful," I blurted out.
"Eh?"
"Eh?"
We looked at each other, confused about what had happened. It dawned on me that I had said it out loud, while I could hear the other girls saying, "Ooohhhh."
"Sorry about that. I didn't mean that... I mean... no, no, I meant what I said, that you are beautiful, but I didn't mean to say it out loud," I cringed, trying to explain. I waved my hand, saying, "Donmai, donmai."
"No, no, no, you don't have to explain. I understand. Well, I didn't mean that I understand that I'm beautiful, but I understand that you didn't..." Before Maika could finish, I interjected.
"But you are beautiful and cute too," I said seriously.
We looked at each other like we were having a staring competition.
*stare*
But she gave up first and covered her face with both hands while blushing. I couldn't stop smiling seeing this.
"Order up, Maika," the chef called, and Maika walked to the counter to pick up the omelet that I ordered.
"Here's your omelet," Maika said, still blushing.
"Thank you," I said as I was about to eat, but Maika stopped me.
"What?" I asked.
"Do you not want me to do a sadistic play?" Maika asked.
"Sure, why not," I shrugged and waited patiently.
She took a deep breath "Tsk even if you said that I'm beautiful and cute it does not mean I will treat you no better than a pig" with an expression of disgust
Woah that's like tsundere play instead of sadistic play or both.
"Thank you Maika-sama for gracing me with your presence" I smile cheekly
"Stop it, your embarrassing me more" Maika keep waving her hand.
Maika cough " Then please enjoy the food" and walking away
I smile and taste the food "UMAI"

After finishing the food, I paid the bill to Maika. Before leaving, Maika said to me with a smile, "Enjoy exploring Akihabara."
"I don't think I will enjoy it that much," I said with a smile, waiting for her to take the bait like a wannabe fisherman like me.
"Why?" she asked in a confused tone, taking the bait easily, just like a fish.
"Cause I already met you" I wink and did the Frieren fying kiss
I walk out of the Cafe Stile and took a deep breath.
"what a good day"

Cafe Stile after Oreki left
"Maika are you sure he's not your boyfriend yet" Mafuyu ask but Maika seems to not heard what Mafuyu ask
"Maika Maika earth Maika Hello" Mafuyu shook Maika
"Whaet" Maika said
"I said, are you sure he's not your boyfriend yet?" Mafuyu asked again while cleaning a table.
"No, no, it seems he's just a good person who likes to compliment," Maika explained.
But Kaho shattered her belief and said, "You mean he's flirting with you, and it seems you enjoy it."
"No, no, no," Maika tried to deny it, but she couldn't look Kaho straight in the eyes.
"But your expressions betray what you're saying," Kaho sighed.
"Did you at least get his LINE number?" Mafuyu reminded Maika.
"No," Maika answered dejectedly.
Kaho patted her shoulder. "Don't worry, he's going to come back."
"I hope so."

Oreki POV
Seriously, that conversation with Maika drained almost all of my energy.
"I'm still a long way from being a Chad Rizzler."
Should I go home? I have a feeling that I'll meet Eriri or Utaha today too.
Nah, I will meet them someday. I need to be ready for something impossible that I'm going to do tonight.
