Yu Jingchen clutched her hand. "No, it's not okay. You might not trust me, but I absolutely can't let you misunderstand me like this. And such a disgraceful misunderstanding at that, you might be able to accept it, but I can't."
An Ning pursed her lips, not believing his words at all. "I trust my own eyes more."
Yu Jingchen gave her a sideways glance. "How myopic are you?"
"I'm not nearsighted."
"When was the last time you had your vision tested?"
"Right after I started my freshman year," she replied.
"So you haven't had your eyes tested in two years?" Yu Jingchen said.
An Ning glanced at him. "Yes."
Yu Jingchen looked ahead and slowly started the car. "So don't trust your eyes too much, after all, you're not sure how many diopters your myopia is now."
Frustrated and unable to channel her annoyance, An Ning found his perfectly noble excuse for cheating to be unbelievable. "Whatever my degree of nearsightedness is, it's irrelevant."
