An unprecedented number of gold coins appeared before Ranch's eyes, causing his breath to halt momentarily. 

Were it not for the many Dream elves present, Ranch might have been unable to resist cheering.

Clearly, in the eyes of the Dream elves, human currency wasn't valuable. Because they had no use for it.

The reason they had amassed such a vast amount of currency was that, when the lands of the Dream Realm were yet unpolluted, it was a favored burial site for many elder mages. 

They would bring along their magic research notes, treasures, wealth, and other belongings to be buried in the Dream Realm.

Unfortunately, the magical tomes were hard to preserve, a regrettable matter.

Thinking of this, Ranch felt a pang of loss. After all, for a true merchant, no small profit should ever be overlooked.
