章 36: A New Being

Alex, taking his stance, prepared for a clash. The creature swooped down, its talons ripping through the air. Alex, with his gauntlet, blocked the hit, with little sparks and a scraping sound like metal clashing against metal.

Alex looked at the gauntlet quite surprised it was able to take that amount of damage. The beast flew round before swooping down once again. This time around, Alex tracked his speed and shifted his legs and then threw his clenched fist out.

Screech!

The beast screamed in pain, crashing down to the ground, its massive form causing a little rumble.

Alex dashed forward and then swung his legs with his heel sinking into the beast's head.

"This is so easy," he thought with excitement. "Maybe this is just a tier one beast. But to be able to take down a tier one beast with just three clashes, that's a big upgrade."
