William unsheathed his sword and pushed off the ground, launching himself toward Shiva like a bullet. His speed was so astonishing that even a seasoned assassin would struggle to keep up. It was hard to believe he was a summoner.

Shiva, seeing William closing in, hurriedly swung his sword to block the pitch-black blade aimed at his neck.

'Phew...that was close,' Shiva thought, his eyes narrowing in concentration. He hadn't expected William to engage in direct combat, as summoners typically relied on their creatures to do the fighting while they stayed back. Yet, seeing William's skill and speed, Shiva couldn't help but smile. It reminded him of the prowess of his past life.

'This guy...he's just as strong as he was,' Shiva mused, a flicker of admiration in his eyes.

William's attack pushed Shiva back. The force of the confrontation clearly in William's favor. Despite both having non-melee classes, William's higher level gave him the upper hand.
