When Ren was halfway through his third glass, he suddenly found his drink snatched from his hand. He blinked at his now-empty hand, momentarily confused.

Who in their right mind would deprive him of his fruity cocktail? He looked up to see Fu Xian frowning at him, holding the confiscated drink as if it were a contraband item.

"Ren, you… are you drunk?" Fu Xian asked, his voice hovering between concern and exasperation.

Drunk? Ren quickly shook his head, only to feel the world tilt slightly to the right. Maybe a little drunk, he reconsidered, nodding this time. "A bit, maybe?" he admitted with a sheepish grin.

Fu Xian sniffed the drink, his blue eyes narrowing as he recognized the slight scent of something much stronger than just fruit juice.

"This has alcohol in it! Who gave you this?" he demanded, as if someone had handed a child a loaded weapon.
