Ren might be at ease, but that was not the case for Kade.

Kade, clearly caught off guard by the sudden bright smile, turned away almost immediately, his back stiffening as he spoke, "Don't seduce me right now, or you'll have to stay hungry for way longer."

Ren's bright smile faded as confusion set in. Where was he even trying to seduce anyone?

However, it was not like he could reason with this alpha. He waited for another minute or so when the food was placed on the table. As for Ren, he was still stuck on the counter.

Kade came back after setting the dishes on the small dining table. His eyes softened when he saw his baby obediently sitting in a daze.

Kade, once again, showed Ren what real strength meant. He effortlessly picked Ren up, this time holding him in a way that made Ren feel like a small child.

Well, it was better than a princess carry... Ren thought as he waited for Kade to put him on the chair.
