[The Hangman (P): Damn! Just DAMN man!]
This was the comment Tyler dropped under the Supergift message's comment section. Somehow, this Pilgrim guy seemed to be dominating the game, making Tyler feel as though he was only messing around.
'Maybe being the Good Guy is not the right decision here.'
Frustrated, Tyler had to make this guess.
Sigh...
"I know that guy is doing something silly, and as far as I'm concerned, I'll make sure he gets his ass kicked by me." He added.
Tyler entered his main duty office in the station, and before he was there, James already dropped a new report. Meanwhile, they haven't even completed the newest missions in hand.
"We got three more cases from the Northern Villages, sir," James quickly notified just as Tyler sat down.
"Pile them up accordingly," Tyler ordered. "We should fix the robbery case today."
"So where is the location of this constant robbery event?" Tyler asked.
"South Ave in the west, the Southern metropolis," James answered descriptively.
Tyler nodded positively.
"Only you and I are going, let the rest of the men stay," he spoke.
James nodded, though he was surprised to hear this, but he only had to play with the orders.
'How can just two men counter a bunch of skillful robbers!?! The Hangman must be out of his mind!' James cursed inwardly as he made his way out of the office.
'He is just an F-ranked Player, what makes him think he is a Big Guy.'
James wondered, wearing a slightly vexed expression.
Meanwhile, Tyler sat back in his office, going through paper after paper. Most cases were concerning beast attacks, robbery, kidnapping, and even murder, well, Tyler only had to put that to the side and focus on them accordingly.
Since he had chosen this job, he was just going to perform it with all his might.
With every case report that he came across, The Hangman would only sigh and switch his gaze to the next.
Taking the report papers back to the files, Tyler decided to check his stats. However, just as he tried summoning the game system, a new general message popped up.
--------
[ApexRise Online's Power System:
–Every Player has a path in this game world, including the NPCs. Some might gain fortune, while some shall be stuck in misery.
Players gain available Classes according to their usefulness in the game. This is due to the mind-reading evaluation that had taken place before any Player is transported into the game.
If you have this urge to do what the planners of this game want, you shall be painted with fortune all through.
----------
"Huh?" Tyler commented with a confused expression.
----------
–A Player with an F-rank Class shall be an F-rank Player. However, if this Player can perform wonders that could affect the up-ranking of their Class, they will also up-rank. A Player with an F-rank Class cannot up-rank or else they manage to up-rank their Class.
To up-rank a Class, a Player will have to gain an Apex Token of Elevation from every 100 Super Tickets they gain.
Classes are ranked. F, E, D, C, B, A, S, SS, then SSS. If a Player reaches the peak, they get an automatic ticket to the Top 5 Players list to reach the last stage, however, this is if they didn't die before then.
–Beasts are ranked F, F+, E, E+, D, D+, C, C+, B, B+, A, A+, S, S+, SS, SS+, SSS, and then SSS+. When a beast reaches its peak, it shall no longer be a beast but a Monster. Meanwhile, monsters are ranked: Low-tier, Mid-tier, and Top-tier.
–Once a Player dies, it reflects in the real world. This simply means dying in ApexRise Online guarantees death in the real world.
----------
The Hangman felt his heart beating hard in his chest... "How is this possible?" He wondered.
He made sure he studied every bit of the Power System stuff and then when he discovered the possibility of this issue, he was left dumbfounded.
----------
[Every Player in ApexRise Online has their soul connected to an entity controlled by someone in the real world. Once they die in the game, their souls would be destroyed].
----------
Sigh...
"This is really intense," Tyler muttered, his face showing a clear hint of fear and anger.
Tyler was angered because he was useless to the main aim of the game, even if he really didn't know it.
It was obvious.
Other Players got better available Classes when they entered the game, but he only got some sort of criminal Classes with just a single manageable Class that he had chosen.
"If I had seen a President Class, I would have gone for it."
"But look what I've got, an F-ranked Class which I had no choice but to go for!" The Hangman bellowed.
Sigh...
Tyler held his forehead with his right hand... He withdrew it and then decided to take a look at his stats.

Upon staring at the system screen, he discovered another menu at the top.
This was the "Income Menu"
----------
[Income (90/10) profit share between Game Creators and Players:
Accumulated Income: $50
[Wealth Ranking: 14,065,339].
----------
Tyler couldn't help but chuckle after checking the income menu. Out a whole $500 dollars, he just couldn't believe that he only got $50 which was ten percent of it.
"Is this how we are really going to be treated here?"
"No, maybe the useless Players like us? I sacrifice my life to save innocent people yet I'm still one of the inferior Players in the damned game! How miserable."
Tyler poured out his feelings. In fact, he had discovered a "Post" menu in the media section lately, and without hesitation, The Hangman tried to protest.
----------
[The Hangman's post (1 mins ago).
We shouldn't be treated like trash here. Yeah, we were one of the world's greatest miseries, but yeah we still deserve to be treated equally. If the government really wanted to punish us for our bad deeds, then we should be the ones to be treated well, not the guys who still chose to remain in the Bad Way!
We seek fair play, dear World Leaders. Fuck Y'all!
(Comments):
[Goldenfin (P): Hey, what are you saying man!]
[Pilgrim (P): Hehe...]
[Deathmage (V): That's my favorite Player there, huhu!]
[BridgesOfDreams7 (V): You just gained a fan!].
[TheKiller (P): Playing along with the way it's wanted is just the right thing bruh, Fuck you too!]
----------
Tyler sighed upon reading the comments. Now he was pretty relieved and was ready to begin his mission for the day.
However, suddenly before he could make a step forward, it was as though he was hit by a bolt of lightning, causing him to fall in an instant.
