章 113: Chapter 113: A Little Secret Between Lovers?!
After hesitating for a while, Irina finally agreed.
Regardless of whether the alchemical spectacles had any effect, they were beneficial for Colin without any harm. If the alchemical spectacles worked, that would be ideal. Even if they didn't, Colin would at most be petrified by the Basilisk, just like in the original story, without causing any worse consequences.
"Alright," Irina carefully put away the alchemical spectacles. "I'll give them to Colin."
Lynn smiled and said, "That's the right decision. This experiment is for a greater good. If it succeeds, neither of us will have to worry about the Basilisk's deadly or petrifying abilities."
Hearing this, Irina couldn't help but glare at him. "Don't try to sound like Grindelwald, talking about 'greater good'...it's just an experiment."
Lynn chuckled but didn't say anything.
"By the way, after the Quidditch match, should we intervene with Dobby's situation? Although Dobby means well for Harry, he's only causing trouble for us at the moment."
Irina was being rational about the important matter, even though she liked the house-elves and had met many Hogwarts house-elves in the kitchens.
Lynn pondered for a moment and asked, "What about Lockhart's attempt to heal Harry's broken arm? You plan to stop that? After all, Harry is your friend."
If it weren't for Lockhart's botched spell that removed all the bones from Harry's arm, Harry wouldn't have needed to stay in the hospital wing.
And if Harry hadn't stayed in the hospital wing, Dobby might not have shown up like in the original story.
Irina hesitated for a bit, then said, "Let's not stop it. If we can't resolve Dobby's situation once and for all, it might cause even more trouble later on..."
Hearing Irina's choice, Lynn smiled, "If that's the case, I'll need your help again. When Lockhart casts the spell on Harry, use the recording function on the two-way mirror I gave you to capture the video and audio. Then, send it to my mirror."
Irina immediately understood Lynn's intention and her eyes lit up. "You want to learn the spell Lockhart used incorrectly?"
Lynn nodded with a smile. "Yes, this bone-removing charm has practical combat value. Imagine if you could remove the bones from your opponent's wand arm during a fight. How would they cast spells against you?"
Irina completely agreed with his reasoning.
"By the way, do you have a way to restrict Dobby's magic? After all, even the Anti-Apparition Charm at Hogwarts can't stop a house-elf's Apparition."
Irina was a bit worried. "If we can't restrict Dobby, he could just snap his fingers and escape, even if we tied him up."
Lynn chuckled, "It's simple - use a house-elf to defeat a house-elf! Come out, Gale!"
With a snap of his fingers, a loud popping sound announced the arrival of the Rowle family's house-elf, Gale, by Lynn's side.
Dressed in a clean blue-and-white pillowcase, Gale looked more elegant than other house-elves. Gale bowed to Lynn and Irina and said, "Good evening, respected young master and beautiful miss!"
Surprised by Gale's appearance, Irina asked, "Lynn, is this your family's house-elf?"
Lynn nodded. "At the start of the term, I instructed Gale to infiltrate Hogwarts castle. Once we control Dobby, I'll have Gale bind him and take him to Rowle Manor. At least for this term, Dobby won't be able to interfere with our plans."
"Of course, after Dobby is bound, Gale will have to return to Rowle Manor as well, since my mother needs Gale's care!"
Lynn smiled as he spoke.
Irina looked at Gale with a hint of envy, then said, "Alright, we'll ambush the hospital wing together. When Dobby appears, we'll capture him together and hand him over to Gale."
After finalizing their plan for the Quidditch match day, Lynn sent Gale away, and the two left the abandoned classroom one after the other.
Back in the Gryffindor common room, Irina immediately sought out Colin Creevey.
"Colin, could you do me a favor?" Irina called out to him.
Seeing Irina address him directly, Colin was quite excited. "Ah, it's you, the female warrior who defeated You-Know-Who's remnant last year, Irina! It's an honor to help you!"
Hearing Colin's exaggerated words, Irina felt a bit embarrassed.
What 'female warrior'? Who was the idiot giving her such a ridiculous nickname?! Irina was furious inwardly.
However, she didn't know that the idiot who gave her that nickname was right before her eyes.
Irina forced a smile and took out Lynn's alchemical spectacles. "Colin, during the Quidditch match this weekend, could you please wear these special magical glasses the entire time, no matter what? Don't take them off. They can block certain harmful magic."
Colin took the alchemical spectacles, a bit puzzled. "Sure, I can do that, but why me?"
Irina made up an excuse. "Because I've seen you often take photos of my friend Harry. You must really like him, so I thought you could take on this responsibility."
Colin was utterly confused, unable to see the connection between liking Harry and being able to take on this 'responsibility'.
Before he could speak, Irina continued her persuasion. "If you do as I've asked, once the day is over, I'll give you ten of Harry's autographed photos. How about it?"
Upon hearing this, Colin's eyes lit up. "You should have said so earlier! Wearing these glasses without taking them off, got it. Leave it to me!"
Colin happily ran off, clutching the alchemical spectacles Irina had given him.
Seeing this, Irina scratched her head.
If she had known that Harry's autographed photos would make Colin obey so easily, she wouldn't have wasted so many words...
After giving Colin his instructions, Irina approached Harry and the others.
"What did Senior Lynn tell you?" Hermione looked at Irina curiously.
Irina shook her head, winking mysteriously at Hermione. "It's a secret!"
Hermione leaned closer and whispered in Irina's ear, "What, is it a little lovers' secret?"
Hermione's warm breath tickled Irina's ear, causing her face to flush red.
