A few days passed after the event of the abomination. Ezra and Lisa had finally become 13 years old.
There was no celebration of any sort because celebrations were done on major birthdays, like five, ten, and so on.
Ezra sat in his room looking at the wall, lost in thought.
"I am thirteen years old now. I haven't lived in this world for even a year, just about six months, but that is still a very long time," Ezra said to himself.
Knock Knock.
"The carriage is waiting for us; we should get going," Lisa spoke from the other side of the door.
She and Ezra were headed for the hometown of Elizabeth for the club meet that they had talked about.
Ezra got up from the bed and left the room. He walked outside the house with Lisa in tow. Their parents were outside to bid them goodbye.
They got into the carriages, and the coachman began the journey, headed out for the town.
