That was when another voice entered the conversation all eyes soon landed on a rather petite girl in spectacles with black hair that reached her shoulder. There were two other people behind her, one was a boy with blonde hair and a build that was similar to Issei.
Alongside a girl with long black hair and spectacles with a height that was a little taller than the girl in front. Mash raised an eyebrow seeing the newcomers come inside checking their levels and names.

All eyes were on Sona as she pardoned for her intrusion as she spoke in a respectful tone introducing herself, "Pardon me for not introducing myself to our guest. I'm Sona Sitri, the heiress of the Sitri house from the 72 pillars as well as the president of the student council and overseer of Kuoh Town."
Issei was stunned seeing Sona being a devil as Mash returned the introduction in a neutral tone seeing a proper noble woman with a smirk, "At least there's someone within the Devils that knows how to introduce themselves. My name is Mash Bastion the [Wandering Vagabond] a pleasure to meet you."
Listening to his words Sona nodded as she adjusted her glasses causing Rias' eyes to twitch demanding in a childish tone, "How come you treat her with respect and just throw me disrespect!"
Mash simply grinned in her direction speaking in a blunt tone crossing his arms, "Easy. I didn't have to wait for you in the shower when we met. That shows signs of disrespect if anything girl."
Rias glared at him with a heated gaze with Sona sighing at her childhood friend's antics making Issei nervous as she spoke regaining the conversation, "Sigh… I apologize Bastion-san for my friend… eccentrics. But please address me with the name of Souna Shitori in school to avoid confusion. As one of the people looking after Kuoh, I apologize for the troubles you and Mister Hyudou had to deal with under our care."
She apologized as Issei calmed down with Mash mellowing down as Rias tried to speak, "But Sona – "
However, Sona interrupted Rias as she explained adjusting her glasses with a stoic expression in a neutral tone, "That's enough Rias. He is not related to any fallen but recently fallen angels had been trying to contact the humans and arming them in the process. So, we want to ensure you and Hyudou are not harmed in all this."
Mash could not say much when she put it like that but thought stoically, 'She's better at talking than Rias.'
Sona soon offered a small smile as she gazed at Rias as she took control of the conversation explaining themselves in a neutral tone, "We are just here to make sure that the fallen don't harm the humans as… if the humans came to know about the existence of the supernatural, it would cause a lot of trouble for the devil race as well. So, we hope you understand. As for Rias, she has been going through a lot, the fallen issue being just one of them. So, I hope you don't take her words to heart."
Mash had a few questions, but even before he could ask Issei chimed in a nervous tone about his predicament, "W-What am I supposed to do from now on?"
Rias was not happy with how Sona handled the situation, but she knew that she had to answer a lot of questions as well. But having the chance to oversee Issei confirming to have a Sacred Gear Rias spoke her pitch in a confident tone, "For now you have two choices for you. One is that you remain ignorant of the Supernatural World having your memories of these events erased once the fallen issue is handled… Or option two you join my peerage serving under me but with benefits."
Issei paused seeing this as he asked in a confused tone leaning back and taking the information in, "Okay… uh, this peerage thing. How does it work?"
Rias soon began to explain to the two of them to get a grasp of their peerage system in a neutral tone, "Of course Issei. Satan Beelzebub developed a system that lets us devils to save and take others as peerage members. But no worries we never make our members do anything that they don't want to do."
Mash remained silent with a judging look raising his eyebrow as Issei nodded listening to the explanation Rias continued, "The system follows the chess system. Where the king is the one with the highest authority. Based on the power that they possess are given the pieces. Generally, pieces like knights are given to those who specialize in physical abilities, bishops to those who are adept in magic, rooks for brute strength, and queens for high magic or bloodline skills. Pawns have the ability promotion to any chess pieces with their King's permission."
Issei seemed tempted by Rias' words Mash remained unimpressed as he thought to himself neutrally, 'She's trying to sell this system as just one.'
Sona nodded agreeing with Rias' words as she explained her new pawn piece in a neutral tone, "It's as Rias has said. To be a reincarnated devil though you'll need to have a chess piece placed inside you though. It required me 4 pawn pieces to reincarnate Saji. And he possesses one of Vritra's pieces as his sacred gear."
Issei nodded his head getting the idea wrapped around his head. But then he soon spoke in a confused tone, "I don't think I follow. I've never heard of Vritra, and I still don't know what a Sacred Gear is."
Sona's eyes widened at the statement staring at Rias asking in a stunned tone, "You didn't explain to him what Sacred Gears are?"
Rias replied sighing out loud shooting a glare at Mash with a smug grin in a harsh tone, "We were engrossed in other topics if Mash hadn't brought up the Hitler question…"
Sona paused eyeing Mash as he waved innocently responding to his case in an innocent tone, "I was merely curious is all."
Sona sighed at this shaking her head as she began to explain in a calm tone explaining to the two of them, "Sigh… A Sacred Gear is a relic, a weapon, or a piece of equipment that the Creator of Humanity made. During the Great War where every race fought, humans were the weakest ones as they did not have any special power. Angels had [Holy Magic], Fallens had light abilities, devils had their [Demonic Magic] and dragons had draconic abilities… but humans had nothing. So, HE made weapons or items for humans called Sacred Gears that humans could manifest to fight and protect themselves. Each Sacred Gear has a different power and can also be classified differently based on it."
Issei nodded his head understanding what Sacred Gears are more clearly as Mash asked in a curious tone, "And humans possess these gears even after the war?"
Sona answered in a neutral tone explaining to the two of them with Issei having a conflicted expression and Mash neutral, "Yes. And that's why humans are so precious to other races. We devils take them as our peerage, fallens try to kill and extract them, and angels recruit them as exorcists or agents."
Both nodded in understanding as Rias spoke up in a genuinely concerned tone for the two of them making her offer, "It's difficult to survive as a human with a Sacred gear as most of the people are trying to hunt you for it. That's why devils and angels often take humans to protect them. So, I ask of you two would you like to join my Peerage. I promise you in any way you desire and give you whatever you want."
Issei thought hard that he could wish for a harem tempted by Rias' offer. But before he could Mash spoke with a stern glare at them in a neutral tone, "Yeah, no thanks."
The devils were taken aback by Mash's reply. Issei snapped his head in his direction with Rias speaking stunned, "Pardon?"
Lifting one leg over the other with his arms crossed Mash spoke in a neutral tone with a cold expression on his face, "I said I'm not interested. It's a good offer but I'm not gullible or stupid to sell my freedom to a spoiled brat."
Rias had a stunned expression on her face when he said those words. Sona was equally baffled at his reply as she was certain that he would agree after realizing the danger he was in.
And considering they were attacked by a fallen a human, she believed he would join them without worries. Sona soon reminded them after getting over the surprise in a neutral tone, "Your life is in danger, Bastion. The fallens will be back for you."
Mash on the other hand smirked arrogantly knowing their pitch as he made a counteroffer offer his eyes locking on the devils in the room in a smug tone, "I know. And if the worst came to shove, you will protect us, right? After all, a peerage member or not. I'm by technicality a human that in your own words must protect under your rule. As such protecting us is also a part of your work, isn't it?"
Sona frowned realizing what he was doing in a disappointed tone, 'He's not dumb. I'll give him that much for a human.'
Akeno spoke reminding him in a concerned tone trying to tempt him by explaining their benefits, "That is not the only benefit of joining a peerage, Bastion-san. Devils live for an average of 10,000 years, so your life will be extended by a lot. Besides, gaining money and fame is far easier as a devil than a human."
Mash laughed when heard that one wiping a tear from his face as he spoke in a confident tone snapping his fingers, "Hahahaha! That's by far the funniest thing you said all day Akeno-san was it? But why would I need to waste years looking for gold and treasures? I have no desire for fame either as it's a pain in the ass."
Akeno's words died instantly seeing him unphased. Rias seeing him in a different light tried to get him as she bitterly said, "I can promise to give you power, fame, wealth… or even women if you want. If you join my peerage, I can promise that you will not regret it. And if you reach the rank of a high-class devil, your peerage."
However, Mash remained standing as he spoke with a frown on his face in a neutral tone looking down on the devils, "That is indeed a tempting offer but how often does a Low-Class Devil truly get to rise the ranks in your backward political system? Sorry, but I will still have to reject the offer. And as for you…"
His eyes turned to Issei as he gulped gazing at Mash's eyes. Mash sighed shaking his head she spoke in a neutral tone, "Issei, was it? You know I won't sell my freedom to them, and I won't ask you to do the same. You choose how you proceed from now on your're a big kid. And as for you…"
He turned around and saw Rias he spoke in a neutral tone as he began to leave the room, "I do believe we have some unfinished business later. It's about one of your slaves – ahem! Peerage members family older sister – "
This put them on guard as Koneko was about to reply angrily but Mash beat her to it, "- involving a Gasper?"
Hearing his name made Rias alert but a glint of confusion showed in her eyes. She wasn't the only one as the reincarnated devils from Rias' peerage paused slowly answering in a confused tone, "Gasper sister? What does she have to do with anything?"
Mash simply replied in an innocent tone causing the group to freeze, "Oh, nothing… she came to visit at a later date."
Rias paused considering this new information sighing out loud in a neutral tone, "Very well then… just bring her here tomorrow. I'll handle introducing my Bishop…"
He nodded as the conclusion of today's events led to him finally leaving informing his group of today's events with the devils.

[Japan, Kuoh Town]
Once Mash was away from everyone, he momentarily checked his surroundings sensing no familiars or devils messing with him as he traveled back to his housing. When he was positive no one was around he soon opened his mouth in a curious tone, "BB did you manage to scan everyone in the room?"
Around his wrist is the Moon Cell Bracelet as it beeped into life with BB speaking in a confident tone, "Affirmative master. I've scanned these so-called Sacred Gears within the Moon Cell database. Replicating their effects and skills is possible. Especially with the Devil's bloodlines can be replicated."
He smirked confidently as he strolls down Kuoh Town striding in a confident walk talking to himself proudly, "Hmph! As expected of you BB. If you managed to make copies of Heroic Spirits by observing who's to say you can't scan these Sacred Gears into the Moon Cell."
It was one of the reasons why Mash came to this world. To have the Moon Cell upgraded and powered by the All-Spark as its infinite fuel source to be capable of greater feats imaginable.
And one of those feats is scanning and replicating the effects of the Sacred Gears. Especially the case of the [Boosted Gear] and Devil Bloodlines with a predatory smirk on his face as he spoke quietly to himself, "They have the gull to look down on me because I'm simply a human? Talk about overestimating themselves. Now then…"
Showing screens of data of the [Boosted Gear] and their previous users Mash spoke in a serious tone eyeing the data contents of the Heavenly Dragon soul data, "… let's see what this famous technique [Boost] is all about. And after that [Divide] is next on my agenda along with a few others…"
