章 14: The Fiance
She was curled up in her room for three hours and even if Ady called her a few times, she didn't answer the door.
Her plan in getting Nicholas' attention was a success. In fact, what happened in the private room was her idea.
"Ady I need your help." She sighed
"Sure! Just tell me!"
"I need you to persuade Mama to serve Nicholas."
"What? No!"
"Isn't it one of your dreams?"
"It was. Until I met you. What if he touches me? I can't let you see it."
Funny. Ady sounded like she was concerned about her feelings, as if she was in love with Nicholas.
"Ady, I don't like him. I'm doing this because I'm choosing him to be my first. That's all. You don't need to worry about me."
Ady sighed in surrender. "So what's my part?"
She smiled. "I will ask Mama to invite Nicholas and tell him that I have a lot of potential buyers. We still have that stupid game. Mama will have to convince Nicholas to use you so he could win the game. Then he will ask me to sleep with him."
Ady frowned. "What if he doesn't ask you?"
"He will. Because that's what this game is all about. He was offended when I told him not to touch me without permission."
"Why don't you just lose?"
Mia sighed in frustration. "He's mad at me. And I think if he comes back, he wouldn't like to continue with that game anymore. So I need to make sure that we will finish it."
"Are you sure? What if he really lost interest?" Ady asked after she told her about her plans.
"I don't know, but I have to do it. I'm losing time, anyway."
Everything went well according to her plan. But why was she curled up in her room, crying?
"Do you think I can't buy you?" He laughed. "I just bought the largest shipping company yesterday, and do you think I can't afford you?"
That was an insult, and she was hurt by his words. For Nicholas, money and power was everything. A woman's worth depends on her status, and her value wouldn't be as much as that shipping company.
She heard a bang on her door and she knew it was Dylan, with Mama of course. She didn't have to open it for them. Mama had the keys in all the rooms so they forced themselves in.
"What's your problem? Isn't this what you wanted? You're the one who set everything up. Now that he's willing to buy you, you're acting like a victim." Mama scolded her.
"Mama, I'll talk to her." It was Ady.
"Make sure to make some sense in this stubborn girl."
Ady closed the door then sat beside her.
"So? Are you regretting it?"
She sniffled. "I'm scared. I don't know anything about sex. What if he's rough?" She sobbed.
Ady chuckled. "Is that really the reason?"
She pouted. "I guess you heard what he said. He's a total jerk. He just sees us as toys."
"They all are. Even Mama. You can't expect him to be different just because he gave you flowers."
Ady was right. She was expecting more from Nicholas because she saw a different man when he talked about his family. That was the reason for her disappointment.
"Hey, at least he will be your first. You will have a memory of him whenever you sleep with other men." Ady commented.
She nodded, but inside, she felt like she wanted to puke. Just thinking about sleeping with different men made her anxiety grow.
"Do you know when?" She asked.
"I think Nicholas gave you two weeks to prepare yourself. So, you have time to learn about it."
She sighed. She had no choice anyway. Everything that happened was too fast and it was overwhelming. Nicholas paid five million dollars for her virginity, and that was her worth.
Mama was overjoyed and agreed that she would not serve any customer for two weeks.
"Lia, you have a visitor." Dylan came to call her.
Her eyebrows curved. "I'm on leave, remember. I can't accept any client, Dylan."
"I am not a client."
A woman in her late thirties stepped inside the big living area. It was a place where all the girls gathered to chat. She was with Ady and Jean when the woman in red stilettos came.
She had long curly brunette hair and a pair of blue eyes. Mia felt intimidated by the woman's aura. Everything about her spoke of sophistication as she walked with poise and grace.
She sat on the couch across from them even without them telling her to sit.
Ady leaned toward her and whispered. "She's Sabrina Hale. I think she's Nicholas' fiance."
Mia's heart pounded. Why would his fiance suddenly appear? She thought inwardly.
"I will go straight to the point. Leave my fiance alone." Sabrina said while staring at her with her icy blue eyes.
She knew she was in trouble, but it was Nicholas fault not hers. He was the one who came to the club to play with different women. And it wasn't a secret. Everyone was aware about it.
She felt Ady's finger on her waist so she knew she had to argue with Sabrina.
"Why? He's the one who comes in here every night. Maybe you should tell him to stop coming here instead of asking me to leave him alone."
"I know this wouldn't be that easy. Nicholas is a good catch. And he offered the club five million dollars to sleep with you. Impressive. He's willing to spend that much for someone so low." Sabrina said with a harsh laugh.
Mia didn't like the way the woman insulted her. She was still annoyed with Nicholas' insult, and she wouldn't allow anymore of it.
She looked at the woman from head to toe and chuckled. "No wonder Nicholas spends time here rather than your house."
Sabrina let out an exhilarating laugh. "Fine. I'll let him play with you. Whatever happens, I'll win this game anyway."
