Bo Jingyan immediately stopped in his tracks and looked over, his eyebrows involuntarily furrowing.
Xia Qingtian was standing there not moving, seeming to watch as Grandpa Bo was helped into the car and left.
How did Xia Qingtian come to know grandpa?
This thought struck Bo Jingyan as strange and he walked straight over to her.
As Xia Qingtian finished helping Grandpa Bo into the car and was preparing to leave, she turned around to come face to face with Bo Jingyan standing directly behind her. Her heart pounded a wild tattoo and she almost dropped the thermos she was holding.
Damn it!!!
When did he sneak up on her like this?!

How long had he been standing there?!
Did he see her and grandpa laughing and talking together?!
At this thought, Xia Qingtian's gaze nervously flitted to him, tentatively asking, "Mr. Bo, why are you here?"
Bo Jingyan stared at her, coldly asking, "Do you know the old man you were speaking with just now?"
If he was asking this, he probably hadn't suspected her identity yet!
Thinking this, Xia Qingtian hurriedly denied it, making up a quick excuse, "I don't know him. The old man asked me for directions. I told him and helped him into the car, afraid that he might fall."
She was worried Bo Jingyan saw her helping Grandpa Bo into the car, so she carefully crafted this story.
Bo Jingyan's eyebrows knitted together in suspicion.
Xia Qingtian, seeing that he had yet to respond, nervously swallowed, her palms breaking out in sweat.
Bo Jingyan shot another look at the towering building behind her when it occurred to him that Shen Qingx worked here. Maybe his grandfather had come here to meet her and so he thought no more of it.
However...
Bo Jingyan looked at Xia Qingtian up and down, coldly asking, "What were you doing here?"
"I, well..." Xia Qingtian swallowed hard and her mind raced to come up with an excuse.
At that moment, a co-worker just happened to walk up from behind and seeing her there, cheerfully greeted her. "Qingtian, why haven't you gone home after work?"
Damn it!
Could this coincidence be anymore perfect?
Xia Qingtian was speechless, her heart suddenly sinking.
After the coworker had finished speaking, their gaze landed on Bo Jingyan. They jokingly commented, "Is this your boyfriend? Not bad, Qingtian, he's quite handsome!"
"...."
Xia Qingtian's lips pressed together, she was about to explain when she turned and saw Bo Jingyan was watching her with a complex expression.
What was that look for?
She hadn't said anything inappropriate!
Feeling the awkward tension between the two, her co-worker quickly made an excuse to leave.
Bo Jingyan knew she also worked here and was quite surprised. "Miss Xia, you sure work a lot. I thought you were just a chef!" he stated.
"Hehe... I'm short on cash..." Xia Qingtian immediately gave a embarrassed laugh.
Short on cash, yet she rejected his job offer that paid two hundred thousand a month?
"Why did you decline to become my personal chef then?" Bo Jingyan did not believe her excuse and questioned, "Also, why didn't you call me at noon today?"
He didn't receive any call at noon and thought she had run off again.
He was too busy looking for Shen Qing at the time to chase it up, and he didn't expect she would come to him herself!
Xia Qingtian was taken aback, immediately remembering what had happened at the banquet last night, and immediately started to apologise.
"Mr. Bo, I'm sorry... I thought you were just joking before and didn't dare to accept hastily. I forgot to call you at noon because I had a meeting..." she explained.
Bo Jingyan furrowed his brows at her words, but said nothing more, instead taking out his phone and coldly commanding, "Give me your phone number!"
