Ch:1 the chance to begin after your untimely end
(3rd person POV)
A white empty void with nothing but a white table made of unidentifiable material with two equally white chairs. That's where we find our main man sitting with a thousand yard white man stare aimed towards what can only be considered as a ... person? That is all kinds of fucked up. The THING had an amalgamation of appendages and body parts springing from every part of their body, arms, legs, tentacles, whilst the young man can only be described as so boringly average to the point that you could pass him in the street and after 2 seconds you would forget he ever existed. These are the two individuals currently sitting opposite to each other at the table
Finally the THING broke the silence "soooooo… you gonna keep staring or are you finally going to ask where you are, like all the others?" met with the question of the creature the average young lad decided to finally speak up
"whe-where are we?" short and meek, that was all that could come out of the young man's mouth as he felt that freaking out and being over dramatic could possibly anger whatever the hell this thing was
Seeing the young man's apprehension the eldritch creature sought to give some comfort to the poor lad "you don't have to be so on guard young man, I won't hurt you y'know. Just ask one question at a time at your own pace after you've regained some composure" the creature spoke with a soft and comforting tone unbefitting of such a horrifying appearance. Finally after a few minutes the young lad spoke "uhm where are we sir?" the young man managed to squeeze out.
After the seeming still meek question the eldritch beast responded "we are in limbo, the place between the living and the dead, and you young man have just recently crossed over … I'm sorry for your loss" after the confession echoed throughout the white void mere seconds passed by but to the plain young man they felt like years, and he responds "I'm-I'm dead?!" the young man shrieks in a very 'manly' way, totally not feminine at all, nope, not a chance.
"Yes lad, now you spent a lot of time just staring at my beautifully handsome face so I believe that it's time I get to the nitty and gritty of why your here and not at the pearly gates or staring down the seven circles right now" after that statement the young man finally calmed down a bit and stared at the 'handsome' 'man' before him waiting in anticipation for him to continue
Seeing that the young lad was ready the stranger picked up a folder that the young man could have sworn wasn't there before and started to read "So to start off I'm a part of an organisation called the order of divine principles, our main job is to keep balance and order throughout the multiverse, my sector in specific just relocates souls after their death, however I only deal with souls that are under unique circumstances"
"Wait … u-unique circumstances?" seemingly uncertain as if to actually give the soul an answer the man Finally spoke "~sigh~ yes, you were … how should I put this? Your lifespan still had quite a few years left before you were to be judged through your karmic value, which is the ratio of good and bad deeds done in your lifetime. However for unusual circumstances you were unjustly taken from the mortal world far too soon"
"Hold on … I wasn't meant to die yet, I st-still had my entire life ahead of me?" the young soul spoke with a shaky and uncertain voice. "~sigh~ yes, unfortunately you were court up in another officer of the order, his job was simple to find and reincarnate a curtain women into another world as to make sure that the world she was sent to would survive however it appears you were caught in the crossfire". "What? How I-I was in a crowded street, did all of the people near me die too?"
"No, fortunately you were the only one. Ah! Sorry that was insensitive, anyway you were the only one killed, as for why well…". "what i-is it?"
"~sigh~ alright let's just get it over with, you were killed because you caught the fancy of the woman who was meant to be reincarnated." a blush and look of uncertainty appears on the man's face "e-excuse me? What?"
"Yes, I know, not exactly a good reason to die but whatever. On the day of your death the woman in question was supposed to trip on the crosswalk on the road and get run over, quick, easy, one and done. However because our employee messed up the timeline, she lived and because of that he had to kill her quickly or the time limit for soul transfusion would close meaning we couldn't send her to the new world. Coincidentally because she for some reason had a big enough crush on you to become your stalker he thought it was a good idea to use you to get her death rolling, so he manipulated her emotional state to basically go berserk and after you accidentally bumped into a woman on the side of the street, she saw red and lunged at you, pushing both you and her onto incoming traffic" the stranger took a brake to let the young man process all of the info and come to terms with all that happened
After seeing the young man come to terms after a couple minutes the stranger continued "due to this massive oversight of protocol we decided it would be best to deal with your soul personally as with your limited karmic value due to your short life you probably wouldn't make it to heaven, so now that everything's cleared up you have a choice to make" the eldritch stranger say to the young man "a-a choice?"
"Yes a choice, you can either get trialled the normal way and probably just get your memories wiped and get sent into a new-born, basically being recycled, or we can give you a different ending or beginning in a sense" the boy picks up on the insinuation the eldritch stranger was making "w-wait are you saying…", "yep, we can also send you to another world, and even give you the same cheat as the woman who killed you, but it's your choice to make"
"After several minutes of contemplation the young soul responds not with an answer but with a question "what's the catch, I'm sure your 'order' has better things to do them reimburse someone like m-me" hearing the young souls inquiry the eldritch stranger responds "~sigh~ fine, you got me, there is a catch, just a teeny, tinny, itty bitty catch, but it's so small it's not even worth mentioning, haha~ ha~" the eldritch man awkward laugh does nothing to persuade the young man from the truth and just stares at the man opposite him "mmmm~ fine! I'll tell you, the woman who is being sent with you, for some reasons is still in a form of berserker love rage towards you, the member who messed with her mental state forgot to fix it and it became semi-permanent and while it has calmed down some it's still very bad for you, IF the two of you meet"
After hearing what the eldritch stranger said the young soul responds "o-oh, that's fine I can just avoid her" the eldritch man looks the young soul in the eye's "you sure cause she's gonna be hunting you down like a bloodhound"
"Yeah it's fine, I'm good with blending in with the crowd and not being noticed, unless she and I both end up at the same place I should be fine"
"Alright kid, your choice but we gotta hurry this up because I'm still on the clock and currently we're stretching my time thin, so let's get this underway. The cheat we are giving you is one that's relatively popular recently among the other chosen few so here we go, we'll be giving you and her a system however this system is unique in the form of what it gives you . the system you are given will provide the ability to unlock and equip new forms and bodies effectively allowing you to become different people and use whatever abilities or skills that body has and even upgrade their powers later down the line, of course before you go in you will be given a new main body and a free first random avatar to use when you arrive which will be decided now" After that declaration the eldritch stranger pulls his hand up like he is waving at someone and then pulls in down as if he's shutting a window after which a transparent screen appears with a big round button that has free written in the middle, he quickly presses it and it produces a holographic chest which opens up to show a card with a name, silhouette, and skill list on it.
"Well, your luck is not horrible I guess" the eldritch being says after flipping the card so I can see it "master chef? How is that lucky?" the young man says after looking at the card displaying a young adult with strawberry platinum blond hair with the majority held back by a headband, wearing a waiter outfit, preparing a drink with a small amount of scars littering his body, with a gun holstered on his left thigh

"Well, I mean not many people have a way to start earning money after they traverse to another world kid, In fact many struggle just to survive and make a living in their first few weeks, now you're getting a worker based free avatar and because it's your first you're also getting bonus as the starter package which will give you a random gift related to the background of the card, which I can only assume would mean a bar or café"
"Wait, I am?" At the young soul's question the eldritch man responds "yep you and your little stalker are both getting a free card and a place to stay and live revolving around your first card, and since yours is a master chef, you're getting a bar or a restaurant. Your choice"
"I-I'd prefer a bar, a restaurant is too much to handle wi-with me being a clutz" the young soul says with a visible blush forming on his face "alright kiddo, you'll spawn in your bar in your new default form which by the way isn't your 'master chef' avatar, however where your bar spawns is entirely random so good luck, oh and for your own safety please do try and stay away from little miss stalker" at the request the young soul nods his head "alright well off you go" the eldritch stranger states whilst snapping his fingers, after which a blinding light flashes around the young souls body and disappears with the young soul in turn. "~sigh~ I said to try his best but … sorry kid that freak ain't letting you go, even if she has to defy fate" the stranger says with a grief stricken face, before his eyes light up "but that doesn't mean I can't defy fate either, lets give you a little gift besides the avatar system ai kiddo?" the stranger says before a bright blue light spawns in his hands and disappears in the same light that took the young soul away "hopefully this helps you kiddo, if even a little bit" finishing those words the stranger gets up out of the chair and disappears as if he was never there

Author here, so I'm not the greatest writer so I hope this was at least mediocre enough to get you guys to waist some time instead of being bored, oh and my update schedule is absolute trash, like there will be no designated time for these chapters to come out, however due to the fact that I was supposed to make this ages ago and lost interest and made that love tyrant one to regain said interest I will apologize by updating this one with a few chapters all at once soon.
