章 32: Phantoms

Word count 2050

The phantoms of James, Lily, Charles, and Dorea Potter appeared in the room. They all looked ethereal green. Not quite the translucent blueish ghosts from Hogwarts.

"Harry?" James asked, seemingly confused

"Is it really you?" Lily said in an equally confused tone. As if she was having difficulties accepting the situation

"Of course it's me" Harry scoffed "Who else would bother to summon you?"

"Hey, don't talk to her like that" James said out almost instinctively, even in death he was protective of her. How cute, he couldn't protect her when she was alive, so he is protecting her now.

"Boy, you actually summoned us!" Charles on the other hand was not. Ever since he had died he has kept watch over his son and then his grandson. He had seen the conversation that his portrait had with the boy.

" You are a lot braver than I thought. Aren't you afraid of messing with powers beyond your understanding?" Dorea said to Harry

"Was I really that bossy?" Dorea's portrait asked with some sort of strange curiosity

"""Yes""" Charles , his portrait and James answered in the same time

Lily and James's thoughts were getting clearer. They remembered, of the things they saw when they watched over Harry.

"Son you really are going to leave Voldemort to do as he pleases?" James asked Harry who just rolled his eyes

"Give me a break. The only reason you two died is because One, you are idiots. And Two you were manipulated by the old goat. Same as Charles. What possessed you to move away from this fortress? Feeling lonely? Too big for me? You are a moron"

"Harry please answer us" Lily pleaded, tears were gathering in her eyes

'Right, Myrtle cries even though she is a ghost. Interesting'

"Yes. If he leaves me alone, I will not bother with Voldemort. Well until he stacked up on gold and rare materials. Then I would have robbed him again, but that's another matter"

"How could you!" James yelled out

Harry blinked "Well, easy. I'm just not going to go out of my way to get revenge for two idiots who fought in a war they were losing, despite having a baby at home. Frankly, you got off lucky. Frank and Alice Longbottom got tortured to insanity"

Both phantoms actually shivered at that, Cruciatus is one of the worst ways to die.

'Phantoms can shiver? New research topic, nice'

"What is your plan for the wizarding World?" Darius Potter asked with narrowed eyes.

Harry burst out laughing when he heard the question. He was quite literally clutching his stomach

"Plan? I couldn't care less about the Society of Stick waving Monkeys"

"Harry! How can you talk like that" Dorea yelled out, more like screamed out.

Harry deadpanned at her, 'This was his grandmother?'

"In the last 30 years, the biggest major breakthrough in magic was to make a broom go faster. I stand by my point. Stick-waving Monkeys. I have made more progress with magic than your entire retarded inbred magical community"

Lily just sighed "Must you be so vulgar?"

"Yes" Harry said offhandedly, before frowning. " I expected to gain something from this, but up until now besides testing the Stone and gaining a few bad research ideas. This has been a waste of time. I have better things to do"

Harry threw the stone in the air. As soon as the stone left his palm, the phantoms disappeared. He also froze every painting in the room and casually caught the stone back in his hand.

"Hmm. They know a lot about me. I need to figure out a way to stop the dead from looking at me. Or at least eliminate their souls. 'Dead men tell no tales' doesn't really apply to this situation. Well worst case I have to find a way to get their souls and destroy them.

I can't do it through the Resurrection Stone. It's a ritual, a contract in a way that guarantees the safety of the Ghosts.

Huh. What do you know? I did get something out of the meeting. Now I know that the dead can spy on me. And if they can. That means Death Gods can use them to do their dirty work. Well looks like I need to find out how to get back all the spirits from the Potter Family. That... will not be easy"

( A/N So i thought about making it a full chapter of them just arguing. But then I realised that Harry wouldn't take that bullshit. He summoned them to test the stone and coz of his curiosity. If they started to get annoying, Harry will just dismiss them.)

Japan.

500 kilometers away from Tokyo. A giant clan of assassins made their home inside a valley. The Taboo Descendants.

A clan that has been doing specialized breeding for 1300 years. They make the women get pregnant from strong martial artists. Or they pay or let a strong fighter marry into the Clan to impregnate a few of the women. Generation after generation and the result was a highly durable body, with superior strength and speed along with 20 different kinds of endorphins (hormones that help block pain). A race specialized for battle and assassination. The Kure Clan.

They were very well known in the underworld. Capable of assassinating even some supernatural opponents. They are also one of the biggest buyers of weapons and poisons needed for their trade.

Erioh Kure the current leader of the clan was sighing as a package arrived.

"What is it Gramps?" Kure Hollis asked. He was a prominent member of the clan and one of their best figures

Erioh sighed once again "Viper. That's what's wrong"

"Ahhh" Hollis nodded understanding the situation.

Viper. A name that shook up the criminal underworld. On both mundane and supernatural sides. As such an old clan they know the truth about the supernatural. And they use it to their advantage. Buying weapons of quality that normal humans couldn't dream to make.

Poisons that are capable of killing beings many times their strength.

And now a new player has entered the ring. Viper. A man shrouded in mystery. Only one thing is known about him through. He has balls of steel. Weapons, Poisons and Potions.

Each of those things are highly sought after. And competition is fierce. Entire gangs, governments and tiny supernatural factions were killing each other to make sure their products got sold the most. Yet here comes a guy who basically gave the middle finger to all of them.

His products are a lot better than anything that was on the market. At this point, anything he sells becomes like an auction. He mostly deals in trade, rare materials and plants.

Which makes things difficult for their clan. They have money. Lots of it, assassination is well paid. But they lack supernatural materials. The more they stay away from that side of the world the better for their clan.

"One of our members was killed by Viper's poison. It is quite magnificent. There was nothing we could do for him. We have determined that it was the weakest poison Viper creates. Rumor has it it was a failed product that he just decided to sell." Hollis says with a tiny bit of awe in his voice.

Their clan is extremely familiar with poisons. Supernatural ones as well. They manage a small poison herb farm that only grows plants from the supernatural world.

"Indeed. Our enemies are using most of their wealth to buy items to trade with Viper. Something must be done before we suffer further losses due to that brilliant poison" Eiroh said as he punched the table.

"Viper is most likely a young man. We could offer him a spot in the clan?" Hollis suggested

"You want us to use one of the women in the clan as a bargaining chip? And why do you think Viper is so young?" Eiroh ask, not completely dismissing the idea. They have used women for generations to sleep with men and get their seed for the family.

"Well if he was any older we would have heard of him by now. Magicians need funding constantly. They usually waste no time hitting the market to sell any bad product they have discovered or made. This Viper appeared in the last two years. There was no mention of him before.

So he is either an older man who suddenly got the backing of someone wealthy and decided to take on a new persona. Or he is a young man who created the poisons and weapons. Then again I could be wrong and Viper could just be the dealer. and three other people or groups work in his 'divisions'"

Eiroh mused for a while. " Potions, Poisons and Weapons. I did some digging. Potions are almost strictly made by wizarding magic. Ordinary magicians have no hope of recreating them due to the unique energy the wizards use to make them. A person skilled in potions is also skilled with poison.

The weapons are Enchanted to be sharper and stronger. There are Wizarding enchanters and Magecraft enchanters. Both could have gotten the job done. But theoretically, if a person from the wizarding world is very skilled at Potions and Enchanting. Do you think they can do this at the age of around 25? When they have had time to learn and practice their craft?"

Hollis thought about it for a bit. " Wizards are notoriously isolated. And punish one of their own if they use magic in front of the mundane. They also hate magicians and any other supernatural beings. They are just bred to think like that.

But if one with big potential in potions and enchanting. Were to realize just who much they can actually earn by using their wizarding magic. Then it would make sense to branch out and earn as much as possible. So yes. Viper could have started all alone just to test which one of the three would be more profitable. But I bet he didn't expect all three to take off. So he must have hired a few people to help him out"

Eiroh sighed "Send the message through Viper's underworld channels. I don't have much hope for this, but on the off chance that it does work. We will at least be able to get our hands on some of his Poisons without economically crippling our clan."

"I will get it done" Hollis nodded and left the room. Everything they do is for the clan. The clan is everything. The Kure Clan will survive this, just like they always have. And their enemies will fall, just like they always do.

"GAHHHHH!" A creature was struggling on the ground. It looked like a monster that was mutated by radiation

"YOu Pathetic HUMANS! How DAre YoU! I aM a DeVIL!" the stray devil struggled

"Man boss. Viper's the man, his poison even works on Strays"

"Yeah this shit was worth it" another member of the team spoke up

Their leader a man in a black suit stepted forward "The Continental has a bounty on you. Low- Class, Stray Devil- Marazard. Thanks to the poison that you just ingested by eating human bait we put up, it was easy to defeat you."

The leader pulled out a gun and pressed it in the temple of the Devil."

" This is all thanks to Viper, so if you want to curse anyone, feel free to curse him"

*Bang* He pulled a trigger and a bullet pierced through the devil's forehead

"Ha, one shot. If it wasn't for Viper we would have had to fire a lot more. Bullets dosed in holy water and blessed by a priest aren't cheap you know? Hey, do you think Viper will ever expand his Weapons to include guns and ammo?"

"If he ever does. I'll be the first one to try one out. Let's go we are eating well tonight"

I probably won't use the Continental ever again. I just wanted to put it in here. I could have also done a League of Assassins. But this seemed better.

Now for the Kure Clan. Btw for those who don't know about them, they are from the Kengan Verse.

So Kengan Asura and Kengan Omega. Read the manga. The anime is CGI shit.

I think it would be an interesting development. Harry is looking for women to bear his children. What would a magic-wielding Kure be like? I want to see it happen xD

BTW if it happens it won't be Klara. Sadly, She isn't even born yet
