We were all having breakfast together, or trying to, because no one clearly had an appetite out of everyone currently seated around the dining table.

Roy had bags underneath his eyes and I knew he was worried sick about Kim. I didn't even know when he became this close and attacked to the omega that he'd be this affected by his absence.

I hated to admit it but the omega has also grown a little on me. I disliked Kim so much from the onset because I knew he was helping some powerful people carry out their dirty jobs but later, I ended up understanding that he did most of those things because he didn't really have a choice. I didn't think that was a tangible excuse for his past disguising acts but I didn't hate him any more. I believe it was more because of my mate, because if it really hadn't been for him, I'd have really killed the omega a long time ago.
