Jules' pov

My heart was pounding in my chest as I approached Taylor's room. His room was on the same floor as mine and I've hung out with him and Josh in there a few times. I stopped in front of the door and knocked on it, ignoring the gazes I was getting from omegas who were walking past. I was attracting more attention than I did after I got after getting mated with Blaze, and that was because of Nick's death. I have avoided thinking about that death for hours now and I shoved that thought away and knocked again.

The door opened after a few more minutes and Taylor's roommate stood in the doorway, eying me curiously as he called out Taylor's name to come meet his friend. His roommate asked if we wanted to come in but I declined, offering to wait out here instead. His roommate shrugged and walked back in, leaving the door open.
