Jules' pov

It was hard for me to breathe.

As I stared at Blaze whose eyes were starting to change back to their normal color, I was consumed with a sudden chill, one which rattled through my insides and rolled down my spine.

Blaze took a step towards me and my heart thumped against my ribs, different emotions swirling in my stomach.

I was completely horrified. I had just witnessed what I never imagined witnessing before.

Even back at home, I've never heard of anyone being able to do that. It unnerved me to the very core that Blaze had been able to do that.

It made me begin to wonder if I really know who he is, or what he is in this situation.

He took one more step forward and I didn't the unthinkable, I did the one thing my instincts pushed me to do– I flinched. That stopped him in his tracks just as my eyes widened at the realization of what I had done.
