章 67: Making Everything Better

Jules pov

Once I slide into the scentless bed, with the cold, unfamiliar blanket over my head, I finally broke down, bursting into silent tears. I tried to muffle the sounds as pain and sadness tore at every inch of my insides.

Moments later, the blanket was being tugged off my head, leaving me to blink while staring into Blaze's dark eyes, heart pounding loudly in my ears.

He was crouched by my bed, and my breath caught in my throat before slowing to a stop for a fleeting second when he reached out and brushed a strand of hair out of my face. He regarded me silently and I sniffled before scrambling to speak.

"I- Xander was lying, I do not have a crush on him. I'm sorry for what I did, it was dumb and irresponsible of me, please don't be mad at me, please don't ignore me anymore, it hurts when you ignore me." As I frantically spoke through my tears without thinking, my voice tapered into a whisper at the end of the sentence.
