My heart was racing really fast and my stomach was in tight knots as I stepped into the elevator along with Kai.

After I realized how late it was about an hour ago, I had informed Kai about wanting to head back as fast as possible. He had been alarmed at first, thinking something was wrong, but I was quick to reassure him that everything was alright. Because, what was I going to say to him?

That I'm rushing back because Blaze had asked me not to be late tonight?

He insisted on returning back with me, and throughout the cab ride, I remained tense while trying to think about what Blaze is gonna do to me tonight.

"Are you sure nothing's wrong?" Kai asked once again and I glanced at him before shaking my head in response.

"Nothing is, I promise." I responded just as the elevator stopped on the third floor which he said he and a friend were rooming together in.
