章 26: Ether annihilation!
"Thornehearts! I'll never forgive them!"
Seething with anger, Amos's hatred for the Thornehearts was clear for Arthur to see, so much so that he couldn't believe this was the same uncle who had taken care of him with a smile on his face for the past twelve years
However, in order to find out what his true motive was, Arthur had no choice but to control his emotions as he remained silent waiting for Amos to continue

Talking about his glory days, Amos seemed to forget the fact that he was currently being held hostage by Arthur, or rather it maybe he had already resigned to his fate
To him, instead of dying for no reason, he might as well pass on his story to another person, hopefully, if it might bring him some relief before dying
So, with that in mind, not caring for Arthur's reaction he continued speaking

"Back then, in order to cement our names in history, we decided to clear one of the seven forbidden places of the world! The battlefield of endless blood!"

Listening to this, Arthur couldn't help but widen his eyes as he shouted at how could his parent be so reckless in their younger days

And as if guessing what he thought, Amos twitched the corner of his lip

Thinking of what happened next Amos couldn't help but tremble in anger so much so that Arthur had to concentrate more to make sure his blood control spell wasn't broken
"Once we reached near the center of the battlefield, we encountered a demi-god rank monster"
"It was so powerful that we couldn't resist one of his moves, so much so at one point it seemed like it was playing with us"
"Thirty meters high, a faceless human like physique, a large golden crown, and a golden staff in hand, this had to be the strangest creature we had ever seen"
"Every one of his attacks was capable of instant kills, and I who was in love with Sephrina at the time took a direct hit for her causing all my vitality to collapse"
"Fortunately, I was able to channel all my remaining aura to stop my vitality from passing"
"Next I don't really remember what happened but I found myself outside the battlefield alone, most likely when I was unconscious from the attack, they found a way to escape and took me out"
"But then after realizing I was now useless to the team; they abandoned me and left me for dead"
Listening to Amos say this, although he wasn't sure what it was but Arthur felt like there was something wrong with this whole story
Unfortunately, before he could put his mind to it Amos's whole body began to vibrate giving up a black smoky-like aura
"Do you know how angry I was to find out that not only had they gone and married each other becoming nobles and leaving happily ever after!"
"But the news of my injury had spread turning me from the heavenly sword to the heavenly waste!"
Saying each word, Amos's condition seemed to become worse and worse, black liquid seemed to drip out of his eyes, ears, nose, and mouth
Strange whispers began to be heard all around the cave giving Arthur a feeling that two giant eyes were staring at him at this moment
"But don't worry, it's not all bad"
"Due to me being alone, I managed to stumble upon my lord, the lord of chaos"
"And he promised me as long as I help him complete all his tasks, then when he comes to redeem the world, then I will be granted ultimate power and unlimited life!"
Shouting to the sky, at this time Amos' whole body had started to deform and bulge in all kinds of areas
And although he wasn't sure what was going on, Arthur's instincts were screaming out that he shouldn't let Amos explode or else he would regret it forever
