章 166: What I want (4)

Scarlet woke up after the sound of something dropping close by startled her. She opened her eyes only to be greeted by a dark room so she believed she had woken up early. There was still time to rest before breakfast and then she could go down to see what damage was done to her estate. 

The slightly cold air touching her exposed back caught her attention and it was now that Scarlet remembered how she went to bed last night. She turned to look at Ian who wasn't holding her close to him any longer and found the bed empty.

Before she could sit up to try looking for him, she heard, "I am trying to get the fire back going again."

Scarlet found the source of what had woken up her as Ian was throwing wood in the fireplace.
