章 66: Strangers (2)

Monica took a deep breath before she entered Ian's office. She knew that he would be upset with her for coming to him after the warning he had given her and then her father, but she needed answers. Seeing that he had called her here, he couldn't be angry with her anymore.

They just needed to talk and then it would all go back to normal.

Monica opened the door and smiled to greet Ian warmly so they could speak without fighting. She found him facing his desk so his back was turned to her. 

Monica closed the door so they wouldn't be disturbed by anyone. Disturbed by someone like Owen who tried to send her away from Ian or Scarlet who was trying to force her way where she didn't belong.

"I came to apologise for the way I have been acting towards you. My father said that I should do it. I didn't think I would be receiving a few bruises on my arm for wanting to apologise. Ian," Monica called as his silence was odd.
