章 181: Single For Far Too Long

The following morning, Grace woke up to the soft glow of morning sunlight filtering through her bedroom window. 

She stretched, feeling more rested than she had in weeks. 

She quickly brushed her teeth, changed from her sleeping clothes and headed to the kitchen to prepare breakfast.

As she chopped some vegetables, she heard footsteps approaching and Mrs Bert entered the kitchen and took a seat at the table.

"Grace, this smells wonderful! It's been a while since we've had one of your signature breakfasts," she said, her eyes lighting up.

Grace smiled warmly. "Good morning, Mrs Bert. Why are you up so early? I wasn't expecting to see you in the kitchen this early."

Mrs Bert chuckled softly. "After you got busy with helping your friend's mother in the hospital, I got used to coming out early to prepare breakfast."
